Hmm... still about 225-250 miles for me. That would be a long weekend since I can't miss the Mn comp the next day. I'll have to give it some thought. Also, is this a comp, or just a bashing good time?

I found out what that noise was on my SW2 that I didn't get to run last weekend. Several teeth missing on the pede idler gear and One small piece broken off the steel top drive gear. Replacements are in my hand. (and a 2nd set in trailer, a stinking $1.50 part isn't gonna stop me again. ) I'm going to Southern Mn tomorrow, Mississippi river bluff county. If I find a good spot, any of you guys willing to travel to Southern MN? Last edited by freetimecrawler; 07-03-2006 at 02:02 PM. |

Yeah, I would be in. The area near the Mississippi river didn't have much for rocks though. My brother and I checked out the Mississippi Palasades park and the Spanish Mining something or another on the way back from Iowa. Thats the Iowa, IL boarder though, if you find something further up let me know. | |

Ben 50 miles north of where you went there are huge rock cliff. I'm sure there are some rocks around there. Belleview IA I know has some old mines and quarries. I would drive to southern MN just not tomorrow. |

I know theres tons of bluffs around Winona, Lacrosse area, as well as on the Wi side of the river. My family is all from that area originally. Eagle Bluff the highest point along the Mississippi River on the Wi side is almost across from Winona Mn, which has Sugar Loaf, and Garvin Heights scenic overlooks, both are 500' atop the rocky bluffs.

I can only run 1 clod and 1 tlt in the Mn comp. I might just bring the One's I don't plan to run and try and hit WI Sat, and Mn Sun. That would work out perfect, if I break anything I still have my trucks ready for the MN comp the next day. I won't have a scaler by then though. Yeah, I'll probably just bring the 2.2 shafty stick and the other stick clod. No reason to bring the other trucks the terrain is to challenging. Plus with all the hiking, I don't think I will hike back to the car much. My bro will be bringing his stuff to. The 2.2 should be set to go this time, no more slapped together. I got new wheels, hex's, springs, dual servos, and a few new AA 7 cell battery packs. |

11:00 we meet where we have to buy the Wisconsin park stickers. I guess that would be the visitors center parking lot. I have your comp half balls to, I found them in the toolbox the other day.
