For me Sunday afternoons would work the best as I have a busy fall for my Saturdays. I am not sure if that would work for Hobbytown though.

Order of preference,

1) Sat, like they were last year
2) Fri.
3) Sun.

But I'll deal with whatever gets decided.

I'll go with anything that's decided, but I would like to see a few more comps.

I don't see alot of interest but here is what I am thinking. The 2nd Saturday of each month, at 3 pm. This would be:
Oct. 13
Nov. 10
Dec. 8
Jan. 12
Feb. 9
Mar. 9
Apr. 13

We could also throw in a few more with a Thanksgiving crawl on Saturday Nov. 24, New Years crawl on Saturday Dec. 29, and maybe a bust up finale on Saturday Apr. 27, possibly with some type of food on these days.

sounds like a good setup have you possibly called Hobbytown, Kasper was kinda hinting that there might be issues.

This is what I came up with for a schedule and posting. It would be much appreciated if someone could get to Hobbytown by this weekend to make sure this is ok and post it. Let me know, I can email a copy of this posting in .jpg, .doc, or .pdf.

This was posted on Rc-tech.com, not sure what to think about it.

Extreme Truck (the carpet jump truck competition) also starts up this weekend. Racing will begin at 7, so be in by 6:30 to register. The wall ride has been moved, a driver stand built, scoring moved into position and the area dressed up (**read that as about 2/3’s of the rock crawling track has been moved** to give room for Extreme (and for those to pit for the Friday Clay Oval.

The crawler course is being given away for free. I guess we're done.

Also posted on rctech by Bob (HTO owner):

HI Crawlers

We are in need of space and we are looking to down size the Course asap. If you are interested PM me or call me at Hobbytown on weekdays 920-426-1840. The Course is located in Oshkosh.

Sounds like he's got his mind made up. I'm not surprised.

Once the other racetrack moved in, I figured it wouldn't be long before they would want to expand....oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

Well, I'm going to have to miss the Oct. 13th comp anyway, but are plans still on to try and squeak in a season? Or does he have those tables shoved so far out of whack that we really can't even use them?

Well I have sold my Axial and my Losi Comp Crawler, the Bully has yet to meet reserve but i think it will. As stated by T-dawg it was fun while it lasted and I have a few other things to keep me busy. Aside from my ranchero, I plan on making some changes to my triumph over the winter (powder coated wheels, blacking out more trim items) both projects need more money to progress so any money from RC stuff will find a home quickly.

The season appears to be a no go. I haven't checked with Hobbytown as to the status of the course, but it doesn't appear to even be enough interest to have actual comps.

yeah, the way I count it there's only 4 of us showing any interest at all. I really didn't have the money to get my stuff together the way I want.

I've seen Bob a good half dozen times or more over the summer at the Appleton track and he never once mentioned the club's plans to comp or scrapping the course. He has my cell, and contact info along with my username on rctech...not a word from him as his plan was being carried out. Not a big surprise though. Racing equals $$$, not tough to figure out.

As far as the club goes, it seems like the leadership part of it was almost non-exsistant since the last comp, along with the lack of interest in even ONE gtg fun run/practice this summer. I didn't volunteer for the job of organizing things, since most club members seem to disappear/are too busy/or not interested in club activities during the summer. So be it.

Just one of my trail rigs gets more mileage put on it in one weekend than my crawler has on it total since the day I built it. I'm not trying to be a jerk about it, just saying. I joined the club to run my rc stuff with others and have some fun (winter OR summer), gotta say I'm pretty disappointed...

R.I.P. WiRCRC?
