So team brood has lost my business. after emailing them bout where to solder them wires on. I received a very rude email back telling me that my motor came with wires already soldered on. so this here will MOST likely be my first and last team brood motor..... sad cause I haven't even hooked it up yet to see if I liked it or not

That suprises me, I've heard nothing but good things about the company. Oh well, one dickhead employee can ruin that good reputation in an instant. I hope that motor works out well for you. I've been wanting to try one myself. |

They're good, but for running through the muck, crud and dirt they're kinda pricey. For general trail use I've been sticking with the cheaper ones like Trinity and Integy (before they went to total junk). I've heard people use Fantom Blitz motors, not sure of the price though. Bottom line is: more power=shorter life. Just my 2 cents .

Trinitys have been holding up very well. I have three more in my box for spares. I have HH motor and ESC in my Panel truck (haven't run it yet) we'll see how it runs. I also have a matched set in my Bully that have been working really well. Like Dawg said, water, mud and crud, stick with cheaper motors. |

Yeah, I steer clear of the deep water and mud myself. |

A-main hobbies has the Trinity 35T's instock for $35 Apparently Fantom no longer makes brushed motors, too bad cuz they were killer back in the day. The Integys might be ok if you replace the brushes first (stock ones are crap!), but its hit and miss quality....roll the dice, take your chances. | |

I think the Integys are the same price as the Trinitys, not worth the money.

I bought a traxxas 21 (?) Turn 550 for my losi comp crawler years ago and now I am using it in my wraith kit I got in January. It seems to work good on 3s but I have not really put any work on it yet. Been sick this past week and didn't go out when I wanted to to check things out.only crawled around on the snow and couch so far. Its kind of quick for a crawler with stock gearing and I believe it was less than $25. Oh and I had pulled the sleeve off the motor to make it fit in the LCC. That may have helped it fit with the 20tooth pinion |

I've run a lot of motors myself but from experience is a good break-in and a good occasional cleaning will prolong the life of any motor you buy |

Not sure how I responed very rudely.... Here is a copy and paste of my email. "Motor comes with wires in it... You can cut them off and solder your wires in their place..." Now, I'll admit defeat that I misread the email. I had received two tech emails and was responding them both. One was for a frenzy, the other an intensity. I mixed them up....so I had thought that I responded to the email for the one about the frenzy. When I realized my error in your response, I sent back the correct info to you. Sorry for the mix up, but attempting to say I was rude in this situation is a bit far fetched. Later EddieO |

Eddi I got it figured out. question was to which posts do I solder them too. motor is in and im happy with it. lost some top speed but that's in my gearing not the motor. so far seems to be holding up.... NOW to all my buddies here I was out running my wraith today and my front drivers tire fell right off (center nut loosened up) I tightened it back on and after bout 20 min or so I noticed the tire wobbling so I checked and sure enough the damn thing backed off again. can any of you help me out on why this is doing this or how I can fix it?>?? |
