| Where all the Cheeseheads at?
Wheres all the WI crawlers out there? Im in between Rice Lake and Menomonie. I can always go compete with the MN guys but something on home turf would be cool too.

| Hey Dirty AL
I am a Cheesehead, There are a few of us on here. I am based out of Beaver dam which not tooo far from you. Alot of the comps for WI are organized through MNSTER and his group out of IL. But do not fear, I am trying to organize the WI crawlers into a small group (Maybe a sub club) Please feel free to PM me with where you like to crawl, and what type of rig you have. Come spring I may be trying to organize GTG's. Comps you may need to run with MN or IL boys. (I rarely compete.)

Well I live just west of Cumberland and I crawl with the MNRCRC group. Where we crawl is within I think 45 minutes from Prairie Farm.

Ahh yes I know cumberland very well. Lived there for about 6 months. My cousins went to school there for a while so I know a few people from there. Yeah 45min is about how long it takes to get to Taylors Falls. I've been talking with the MN guys and will be attending the comps.

I'm in Madison but as I said in another post, I won't be up and running for a couple of weeks, not that we'd be getting together by then. I'm up for forming a WI GTG, though. Tons of spots have been mentioned in all the different threads in the WI forum, take your pick. I'm in Madison, btw.

When I started talking to the MN guys they said there are some good spots on the WI side. Problem is the park rangers or whatever arent too keen on us crawling there.

The deal with the Wisconsin side of Interstate park, is from what I have read online via rock climbers, is that the rangers over there are more uptight about things. None of us have actually checked it out. Every state park is different, just depends on the management.

All we can do is give it a try maybe, maybe plan a GTG there first to see. That way we don't get hosed on a comp if we'd get told no........ but really like the TF side of the crick though | |

Nope, but someone would need to buy a Wisconsin sticker and check it out. See if the rangers are ok with it and if there is rock that we can run on. Wisconsin stickers are $25 for WI residents, and 35 for non residents. The stickers are good for the year, not like the MN full calender year stickers. They also have day passes for $10 and 1 hour passes for $5. |

This spring some of us should recon the Wisconsin side I think there are some great rock formations over there. The Park pass thing is no big deal as far a families coming with I think that side offers more opportunities.

| thats per hour you dummy, its $10 a day. The day passes would be cheaper for us if we only go to that side 3 times, any more and the year sticker is the way to go. Anyways I started a WI park thread in the MN section, so the rest of our club can discuss it as well |
