Default 2.2 bodied rules

according to the rules, what is the 5" wide in the center? is that 5" of body between front and rear wheel or 5" wide from driver to passenger side? and the whole resemble an original vehicle rule....if it met the length requirement, can it be a bobbed bed truck? Ill post pics of my rig later today if needed for clarification.;)

My understanding is its 5in from passenger to driver. Front and back can be cut where the fenderwells are. Must be 12.5 in long, center to center. And 3 inches tall around the door area.
