| 2.1.6 confusion
This is a question to officials in the rules department. PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR OPINIONS Im looking for actual facts pertaining to the rules So i read this huge tread from the beginning of the year about a force articulation argument. Where it seamed like a lot of questions got answered. But im still not sure about cantilevered suspensions. Is it legal in 2.2 to have 1. a cantilevered suspension with a fixed end point....ex axle-link-cantilever-shock-chassis 2.a cantilevered suspension with a fixed end point....ex axle-shock-cantilever-link-chassis 3. a cantilevered suspension with a hydraulic or electric end point...ex axle-link-cantilever-shock-hydraulic ram-chassis 4. a cantilevered suspension with a hydraulic or electric end point...ex axle-shock-cantilever-link-hydraulic ram-chassis I guess my real question is has any one defined "FIXED" yet and are cantilevers part of this. Thank you for your time |

| The rules committee is work on the 2011 rules at this time, and that entire section is under review. If you have time sensitive project it probably best to PM a Rules Committee member directly. |

The new rules typically come out at the beginning of the year. Generally speaking, cantilever suspension is allowed as it is securely mounted at the pivot. But as Fishy said we are going through the rules now for the new year.
