Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets First post updated with some changes. The original trail class is now "Stock Trail" to reflect the focus on having all mostly stock vehicles competing together. Tire restrictions are smaller in scope, and there is a 3 channel limit. "Unlimited Trail" and "Mod Trail" vehicle definitions have been added. Read carefully, there is a little gem in there :D All Trail classes include traditional gated "rock crawling" comp regulations along with off road disciplines such as rock racing, hill climbs, sled pulling, and other similar activities. A host may simply choose which types they want to run, so they can create an event that fits with their location and vision. I will be breaking out the course and judging documentation from the vehicle descriptions soon so that this is all easier to understand. |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets I'm in need of a clarification on body rules, does the 3" height cover both "body-less" 2.2 class trucks as well as trucks still using lexan bodies in the 2.2 and 2.2 Shafty classes? I'm mounting Parma X-Citer bodies on my Losi Comp and Night Crawlers and just want to make sure they're legal if I do go and comp them. Thanks! |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets The old style bodies are legal in both classes. What's new is that also smaller (shorter and narrower) bodies are now allowed in 2.2 Pro (but not in 2.2S). |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Ok, thanks! Wanted to trim that bottom inch off the body but for some reason was thinking it was a 4.5" minimum height...........it was also 1:30am or so when I asked...... |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets The 2.2s class does have the same 3" height requirements for bodies as the 2.2P class. I'll be breaking down each vehicle definition in the coming weeks into separated documents so there isn't so much bouncing around and "refer to rule XX" referencing. |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Thanks John"thumbsup" |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Finally something new I can get into...time to build me an "Unlimited Trail" rig  |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Quote:
Seems like a fun rig to me too! Basically a Super style rig with big body and 6" tire height limit. I've also added the Mod vehicle definitions, which is a shafty only vehicle. A Stock rig can easily become a Mod rig with a wheelbase stretch and knuckle weights. |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Hey, I found the missing Rules Committee. They're in 3.1 of Traditional from the first post. |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets I love where this modified trail class is going! So, I'm wondering, the only gate listing is 16", that seems fine for the C3, but makes for not much of a challenge in the c2 and c1, should we have a few regulations between these three to better fit there tire size???"thumbsup" |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Are the scale accessories required for all of the trail events or just the G6? |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets Where the rules for unlimited mini |

Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets 6x6 super mini...... if you build it they will come.... |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets My mind went to tracks.... What about 2 wheels? It would be sick if you could make a trials bike course! |
Re: RCCA / USRCCA Rulesets 4 wheels is a general vehicle rule for all classes at this point. I would need to add the exception of unlimited number of wheels to the unlimited rules. We can make a mini bike racing course, lol. |
