Default ..: Are there OTHER ISSUES to the x-Crawler ???

Well...I'm finaly starting my XTM x-Crawler build and am curious...
Are there other issues that need modifying from the jump..? I have the upgraded gears for the axles and am upgrading the shocks but...

Is there anything else I should do before I start installing the electronics..? Has anyone expierienced a problem that could/should have corrected before running..?

I know its gonna take trial and error to dial it in but I'm sure you guys know alot more since some are actually running theirs quite fine.. Any HELP /ADVICE/TIPS would be GREAT

THANKS

Sell it now before its too late...lol no its not too bad, mine will be finished once the other novak rooster 45t motor comes in. it just takes alot of money to build this thing to hold up. i also got the new gears for mine and hpi savage shocks, i have not really heard of anything else breaking alot on these things i have done alot of research since i started the build and did it as i went along. what set up are you planning on using for your x-crawler

Upgrade all of the screws that hold the links to the frame, as well as the screws that hold the shocks. Ive upgraded to stainless, and so far so good. First run out with mine I bent every screw on the thing. Of course it was due to a prety nasty tumble, but I've rolled it a few times since and haven't had any more trouble with bent screws.
It also will help to make the screws shorter, I ditched the plastic spacers for the link screws and have had no binding or noticable ill effects. The shocks do need them though or else they will rub against the frame plates.

Ours had half the shock & link mount screws bent right out of the box.

I just ran the 8tooth pinions that came with the kit.

I'm not running any of the XTM chassis, links, shocks, etc, so I'm no help there.
