| XTM X-Crawler Setup & Pics
Guys, (All updates to Radio settings & Rig tweaks will be updated on XTM X-Crawler and not maintained here anymore!) I would like to let you know a good setup for XTM X-Crawler tied up with RDS 8000 Airtronics radio as I couldn't find the setup at one place on internet before I started out 3 days ago. This setup holds truth for the blow components
These are the settings I did... Receiver/Servo Channel Setup
Result
You need to reverse the polarity of one of the motors otherwise your both axels will contradict each other's movement As I keep experimenting with additional settings in RDS8000 and Rooster Crawler ESC I'll keep updating above list for you guys Pictures (I will keep updating them on this thread as my Build goes on) X-Crawler top view ESC connection Front Motor Rear Motor Body Paint (updated 20-Dec-09) Final Look (updated 22-Dec-09) Regards, Le0Heart Last edited by Le0Heart; 03-08-2010 at 04:28 AM. I am going to put up some more pictures tomorrow so keep tuned as I build it up. My body is still under paint shop visit! I am thinking to use HPI Racing Window Tint. Help me setup by providing your tips. I'll be glad to consider them. Regards, Le0Heart |

the absolute best height ive found for this thing is 4 inches under the lower plate. running 12oz of weight in both front wheels. changed over to 60wt oil and covered one of the breather holes in each front wheel. the shocks react nice and slow and so do the tires.i also managed to fit all my electronics between the upper and lower plate on the chassis and choose to run a stick pack velcro'd to the upper links in the front. keeps the weight nice and low and over the front.

I have also found that if you take and flip the alxe tubes (put the right one on the left and the left one on the right it will clock the axles). You have to make a custom steering arm. I'm just about done with mine huge F650 Ford, full light kit, 4.0 Roc Loc tires, custom made the wheels to fit the offset and the new tires. I will post up some new pictures next week.

Thanks for the setup info. I'm going to pull out one of my rooster crawler ESCs and just run the one for now. The other is going to go to honcho I just aquired. I was running a 4ws set up on a switch with my DX3R.
