Where can I get a set of X-Factor to Maxx wheel adapters? Will I have to make them myself? jugg_crawler |

No mods needed. Take the steering knucles off and change the stub axles and put the knuckles back on. The stock stubs have a set screw in the end where the wheel nut goes on that holds the pin in place the ones in the adater kit does not. Thats it.

So on the new ones it doesn't require a wheel nut to hold the pin in or do you use the stock one? jugg_crawler |

| Re: Adapters? http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/146110.asp Oh yeah, almost forgot. The pins are held in place by the drive hex just like a T-Maxx, Savage, or most others that use this type of drive. So be carefull when removeing the wheels after the swap because if the hex stays in the wheel the pin can fall out. |

If you use the savage stub axles do you use the x-factor bearings or the savage bearings or are they the same?

The savage axles are right and left hand threaded which makes it easier for the nuts to spin off. I 'think' the xtm adapters are not right/left hand threaded. Could someone clarify this? I have the xtm's and I have never had a wheel spin off on me, knock on wood! |

Ok, I dont know what you are looking to do exactly but I would say its best to do something where you can use almost any wheel out there without switching axles. NEW ERA Models sells hex adapters for savage and t-maxx that just slide over the stock XTM axle. They run about 35.00 for all four plus shipping. neweramodels.com
