| My X-cursion build
Few pics of my crawler build. E-maxx tranny X-factor axles Maxximizer beadlocks LST's 805BB's dual 55T lathes Revo shafts with steel yokes at the axle WB:17 3/8" width:16" overall length: close to 24" the CAD drawings the custom aluminum axle parts for the suspension and servo mounts decided not to go over the servo with the mount, not enough material on hand and it was quicker the chassis ended up using the out 2 holes at the ends to hold the body mounts rather than a tube the end result X-cursion, aka: Junior, it has a few stickers on it now for "effect" it may get a Hummer militia body in the future Last edited by thebigJAT; 06-22-2006 at 04:01 PM. |

Very nice buildup! If you're planning on making another member a set of those link mounts, let me know... Overall your build is very creative, I love the chassis, especially since really big trucks like the X-Factor seem to have fallen out of favor.

Looks really good. Then again, I prefer unlimiteds/supers. May I ask what cad app you are using? Did you create all of those models yourself? And, did you do the machine work or have a shop do it? Thanks |

used Bentley Microstation/J cut the parts myself, no mills, no CNC used a bandsaw to cut them out then filed down the rough edges and sanded it using my lathe |

Thanks for the positive input guys. I just have the axles, didn't buy it as a nitro so I can't give you any opinion as to which one would be better. The one thing I can warn you about with these axles is that they are 'w---id---e' The PS2 was handy. Some recent pics (coutesy of "BADD") Last edited by thebigJAT; 11-06-2006 at 11:18 AM. |

Pretty nice build. Quote:
If your getting one for the axles to build a crawler....hands down,a set of Mad/Twin axles would be far superior over a set of X Factor axles. I've ran both. The Twin axles have allot more ground clearence and with the right set up are stronger. They also have nearly unlimited options as far as the width you want to run.

I'll agree, the X-factor axles aren't the best axles to use. The only real advantage I'll give them is width.
