Default Xfactor2 rebuild.

Well here is my lame old X-factor2
Im sort of rebuilding it, but im trying not to spend any $$$
So dont laugh Body is not done yet!
Ive got a new TLT to deplete my cash flow

Anyhoo She has new Hitec Servo's, Traxxas 3 channel receiver,
I just locked the diffs, and replaced the stock cantilever rods with MGT shocks, also i removed the torsion bars.
I'm rebuilding the trans, and plan on using a new-ish OFNA picco .28 with a werks 4 shoe clutch and robinson spur.

She needs:
- All new links
- Cheap narrowed beadlock wheels
- Have a set if Swamp Dizzle's, gonna narrow them
- 4WS needed badly
- new exhaust
- Custom K&N intake/snorkle.

I want to extend the Wheelbase, Obviously.. However I'm having a hard time finding a heavy-duty set of Links, and i would like to use savage shocks maybe instead of the MGT's. I need a 13 tooth clutch bell.
I'm open to any suggestions or ideas, I haven't found much info anywhere.

have you used the search button?
i just wanted to say that savage shocks are way too soft
they'll bend eventually

Damn, i sure am tired of the whole search button bashing thing....
every third post i read on here is complaining about it. I havent had a problem with the savage shocks breaking any more than other cheap plastic ones, however i have bent many a shock shaft on my savage.
I changed my mind and I'm gonna use a set of 8 GPM alum. shocks.
And as far as body roll is concerned i dont care...
slow and low..that is the tempo

Kool beans, another nitro . There is an article in the tech dept. on the front page of the site that shows how to make your own links IIRC, that's what I did. Just don't screw up like me and have to use all-thread to correct your mistakes (I'll make some new ones one of these days ).

What are you planning on for drive shafts? Looks like you don't have any in the pics. I extended my WB in the rear to fit a long revo shaft in the rear and left the front stock length to run a modified short revo shaft that came with the long ones.

I haven't tested the front yet, as the steering servo is stripped out. But the rear shaft held up great in a 2wd bash-a-thon when the stock front shaft broke a pin.

In case you wanna see, there's a picture in the link in my sig. Just click Big Evil.

If you're going to research the J-4000, it's a full size Jeep (FSJ). Slightly altered, of course . www.ifsja.org is a good place to find out about them. I'm sure that they were sent to Canada too, as there are some members on IFSJA that are from there that I've seen.

I've been out of rc trucks for a while now because I was finishing the build on Rampage. There was a forum for x-factors somewhere on Globalhobby's site IIRC. But I've had troubles finding it now that I'm back.
