I have 2 different methods I have used without breakage.

One, use 1-1/2" long screws to hold the links directly to the axles at the mount holes where the mounts would normally go, This is a desparate measure that limits articulation but it works in a pinch.

Two, using your favorite fab material i.e. cutting board/kydex/aluminum, make your own link/shock stays. This way keeps your articulation.

You can also cut off the other mount, put longer screws in the four bumper mount holes, and build a plate that spans all four screws. This plate can be used to both hold the servo in a new, horizontal orientation underneath, and build small standoffs to connect the upper links to on the top. I wish i had a picture handy to illustrate better, but think kinda TLT style.

Hmmm. mjh, I like how the servos are mounted on top of the axle. Looks like I have some work to do.
