| Might be old news...
I was messing around in the garage last night with the X axles. I found that the Savage stub axles can be swapped into the X axles without fuss. I searched for discussion on this, didn't find anything. Thought it might be of use to someone without access to XTM parts and was looking to run 14mm wheel hexes. |

I've seen that on the x-forum, good stuff! I think read the stub adapters at HobbyPeople are actually just Savage stubs. Link to HobbyPeople Last edited by JakeTheAlligatorMan; 02-10-2005 at 12:23 PM. |

Old new? How about Ancient news!!!haha Jason,,,, I will always give myself secret credit for the one that discovered this tip. I had the first Savage in Colorado. I remember getting an XFactor soon after and noticing that the stub axles looked interchangeable. Sure enough.....I accidentally stumbled on this. |

Yup, I didn't want to spend the money and wait on the XTM parts so I figured I'd pillage the Savage and give it a shot. Couldn't find anything on here that actually said they were interchangeable...hence the thread title. I figured something like this would be a common question for the X crowd kinda like "what's a GD-600?" is for the TXT crowd. I guess since I just got the X axles this past week I'm a lil' behind the times on them. :? But now that I can run decent wheels and tires I guess I'll have to figure out what to do with the axles. |
