A B-17 called Sgt Rock

Nice Rig! I have to agree with rcjeepbuilder, throw on some 2.2 Slingers and put them on thos Axial BEadlocks and it'll look mean. If not I like the Geos on the Axials too. The beadlocks look great on it IMO. Nice tube work for the frame and I like the solid silver color. Great job!"thumbsup"

very nice build. i like the axial beadlocks on their, they look great with that body. also, cutting out that bed and mounting that tire looks badass. I havent had much time for crawlin, this semester ends in 6 weeks so i am busy, but i took the king to a friends home course on sunday and beat it forwards and backwards (and it was not easy). i kept up with an axial scorpion pretty well. keep up the good work, and let me know if you ever want to let this rig go!

I'm glad to hear the King is in the same ballpark as the Scorpions. I don't want to get rid of this one. I said the same thing about the last scaler I built, of course Dave is now the proud owner of the FJ:roll:. We'll see how things are come spring.

I'm wanting to do something with either the IMEX Swamp Dawgs or the Mudslingers with the Axial beadlocks. I've been thinking about doing a whole different rig. I've got a Scorpion sitting here collecting dust since I got Sgt Rock running and the axles are only 1/2 inch wider than the TLT's with the same rims. If I can keep from doing a baja styled chassis I may turn the AX10 into a mud truck. Before I even get to that I've got finish my WK scaler build. Just to top things off that d@mn Tamiya just had to release info on the Hilux High Lift and put a crimp into my winter build plans.

I got around to doing something with the rear bumper. Simple yet elegant with no clearance issues. OK not really but I'm out of tube and it is High clearance with the option of a reciever hitch or tow points of some kind down the road. I added two nuts to the rear tube work and secure the rear of the body with screws.

I haven't come up with anything for the front bumper yet but I did streamline the battery mount with some 1/8 inch rod.

I really hate to dig up an old thread, but what happened to your rig? Still running it? Any changes?

It was a victim of my TLT clearout when I changed over to Axial componants. Traded it off to a member on here. I've been waiting for it to resurface but I haven't noticed it yet.

Dude!!!!

Turned out real good!!! Call me, I had to switch phones so I lost your #. Oh, by the way, I'm divorced again and back in Pennsylvania.... for now.
