Are Shafties competitive anymore?

All I can say is that in the rear crawler world you dont see engine on axel, because it a stupid idea. shaft driven is what my 1.1 jeep has so my 2.2 crawler will too. Oh, and Bergs are going to get killed this comp season with all the losi 2.2s, rock forces, and who knows who will go worm gear in the future. All I can say is that the worm gears have zero torque twist, have shafts.

They are all competitive.
But you have no clue.To say that the bergs are going to get killed by those trucks this year is just funny:lmao::lmao::lmao:

It might say I'm a newbie, but I will say I've been around the block a time or too. RC crawling, 1.1 you could say that I,m more then a hobbie guy, I live and breath off-road. I drive a Jeep Rubicon w/ alot of lift and acessories on it. and it pisses me off to go to a comp and some jackass says hey your running a shafty your going to regret bring that against me hahahaha, when his 450lb. ass just got out of a 85 honda civic. Do you drive a civic or anything in the relms of a car?

Worm gears can be good, and I think the Losi is gonna be a great rig, but shafty's will never be able to have the same low center of gravity and instant bind free dig as a MOA rig.

The "less realistic" thing used to bother me too, till I drove a Berg ....

this is one thing i have noticed.

nothing to do w/ capability,

gear heads that froad, and come to this hobby from the 1;1 hobby, seem to like shafties.

i could be full of shit, but its only a Bobservation.

You are right on you Bobservation Bob. I like ti work on my 1.1. When I go to work on my 2.2 I like it to be as similar as my Jeep. I guess that all MOA guy are going to get shafted at comps when I compete. Get it! SHAFTED!

Do you call your Jeep a Ruby? Yeah... I thought so.

There are lots of us that came from 1:1 crawling that run MOA trucks. I like realism too, but that's what scalers are for.

just another bobservation....

it'd be nice to have both!

but i mean, im not as passionate about this argument as some of you...

but this is all VS like and such. lol

i never knew digs sucked such balls. but im still gonna buy one.

Oh man this is getting a little bit stupid here. I'm not going any lower. I'll see you all in Utah this september. DEATH TO THE BERGS:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

You are one funny guy.I have been into everthing from drag racing to jeeps.I have had a 8 second 1/4 mile mustang, and then turned around and built a Poision Spyder bruiser. Not to count the 6-7 CJ's on Dana 60's and 39.5-44 inch tires. And for a daily driver I have a 02 chevy 2500hd with a 8.1.
But I am one that will hand you your but driving a RC Crawler after puling up and getting out of the Scion XB.

How about everyone through in the titles to their trucks. If shafties loss. You can take my Dyno trac, Atlas t-cased, Rubicon express long armed, 42-13.50-17. $55000 rig if I loss. If you guys loss you have to through your bergs in a pile and burn them to a crisp and I will give you back your truck titles."thumbsup"
