2S, I would probably run a 16-18 tooth pinion, and 3S you could run 12-14 no problem. I would run a 3S lipo, and start with a 14 tooth pinion. Go up from there if you need more wheelspeed

I am running one in a rock force. I have the 17.5t motor combo. Well i ended up running it with my novak 21.t motor as the low speed control is better with the novak motor...More turns... It also seams the Goat ESC has better low end control. Seams that way but it could just be me. There are alot of things you can change with the software but I have not played with it much. I want to run 3S so I am using the Losi ESC. I have not tried the losi motor and novak ESC yet. I will probably put that in the kids crawler once we get it together as 2s is good enough for him for now.

Hopefully they come out with a new version of software the thing I dont like but am getting used to is no instant reverse on the losi. I reversed the radio and motor so now I dont have instant forward. Someone mentioned the racers may have a tweaked version of software allowing instant forward and reverse. Nothing offical yet but hopefully they will.

That's why I kept my xcelorin because of its 3s capabilities. But I bought a novak 18.5 crawler motor. I also went with the novak motor because you can also buy different size rotors. I just hope the truck is released soon so I start playing around to see what works and doesn't work for me! I was gonna build an SWX based axial but figured id give this a try since it will be my first rig. Plus its less money up front incase I decide I don't like crawling lol.......

I asked my LHS about these today, they told me that they won't have them until the 2nd week of June, there's been another set back. Apparently Losi is releasing another truggy?? before the crawler gets released. Maybe Rich can tell us if this is true or not... :-(

Could be that they were late to order them and are getting a later shipment of the trucks................I'm hoping that's not the case with mine:-(

Rich can officially confirm or deny that, but its certainly the first I've heard of them being pushed back again.

As far as I know, they're still on track for shipping to vendors within the week
