I need some gate markers, I tried water hose washers but I want something I can mark with an arrow.

Any ideas or what are you using?

For my foam course I'm going to use colored push pins and toothpick flags to mark the gates. "thumbsup" Maybe you're using real rocks, though....How about erasers?

Sorry gave up drinking (I liked it way to much),

Erasers may work, need something where I can buy enough for ten gates. Yea my indoor course will be styrofoam but outside is real rock. I'm actually shocked how much my daughters are interested in this little crawler, so I need to keep the interest going...

Round labels, color-coded.

Any pet store has mini tennis balls for dogs, but they are pricey. Practice golf balls would work, you have plenty of colors to choose from.

If you're worried about the markers getting knocked around any office supply store carries Sticky Tack (as does Target and/or WallyWorld). It is a blue putty used for hanging stuff on walls. If you pull it like taffy it becomes very soft and will conform to odd shapes. One warning it will leave behind an oil on porous surfaces, or will soak through uncoated paper.

I was thinking about gluing some airsoft bb's to my home made course for gate markers and then painting on the arrows to look like chalk marks on the rocks.

Cut in half so they stay put, this might work and would be easy to see "thumbsup"

Excellent idea! I guess the airsoft bb's would be kinda small and you won't have to glue the erasers in place. Since I am a teacher and reading this in my classroom guess what I just found in the closet?

A box of neon erasers!!! I picked out some neon yellow to take home and try out. Since they are kinda pointy you could use them like arrows or draw the direction on with a marker.
