Micro Gate Marker Ideas

How about those industrial foam ear plus... kind of tall and skinny... light, so weighting them with a washer may work. Also, could get some form of putty may work to stick it to the rocks.

Kid always seems to come home with these after going to a birthday party. All different sizes and colors. Should be able to get them at the dollar store or party supply place. All ready cut in half so that is a plus.

The mini tennis balls get my vote though"thumbsup"

I like the dome poppers idea. You can get a package of 72 for 6.99 online + 6.99 for shipping, but still cheaper than tennis balls.

+1
And it would't take much to de-smilie those balls.

At that cost and amount of balls, a few guys could go in on some and have lots of extras...

Sorry gave up drinking (I liked it way to much),

Erasers may work, need something where I can buy enough for ten gates. Yea my indoor course will be styrofoam but outside is real rock. I'm actually shocked how much my daughters are interested in this little crawler, so I need to keep the interest going...
build a course in her room!lol that will keep her interested!

I brought home enough erasers to make 8 gates tonight. Wrote numbers on them with a Sharpie. Works good on my cardboard and styrofoam course.

Somebody already beat me to it, but using Superballs cut in half works great! Once you tear them apart along the mold-line, since the bottom is rough rubber or plastic, they stay well on rocks, and have some mass so if you do clip one, they don't fly away.

Even if you get them from a gumball machine instead of bulk, you'll only be out $0.25 per gate unlike the price of tiny tennisballs for ratdogs.

if you get fancy you can cut a tennis ball into 6 little circles. i will see if i can find a ball tomorrow and take some pics

Very small balloons, The smallest I could find were 2cm diameter. Fill them with fine sand, close them and voila! Cheap gate markers that stay put even on inclines, they have some weight to stay where intended and you can pick the color.
Did I mention they are cheap??????

That's a great idea. For 2 clams spent at the local dollar store, one can get a bag of balloons and some hobby sand. "thumbsup"
