ive seen them on a few rigs, just like to know a size they are, what size the screws your using to hold them on with is

im gonna make my own if i can find the right size cotter pins and such

The thread is in here.I tried the steel cotter pins and I had a heck of a time even under the drill press,I would recommend the softer one made of aluminum, still strong enough but easier to drill through.

Well if you figure the size from looking at them on his rig, here ya go

I used some 1-1/4" pins. If you dig through the bin you can find some that are more round than others. I drilled a hole through both sides and bolted them on.

I used 2" on my summit. I used a 16p framing nail to round it out and bent the straighter upright parts with pliers. Then I put a scrap of 1/4'' luan plywood between the straight parts and drilled my holes ,works great and very rugged"thumbsup"

I was reading in another thread were softer ones were used and laid on there side and hammered until they had a flat edge, made them look mare realistic and he said didn't take any time at all to do.
