I was one of the lucky ones who received my XR10 early thanks to the the guys at Axial. I spent last Sunday building the kit up box stock. I can't tell you all how impressed I am with the kit overall. I am going to try and add as much TECH to this thread as I am possible of doing. I have this knack for getting a little off topic....

I will be listing my suggest setups for all your electronics choices, both when using single or dual ESC's. I will list programming for radios such at the 4PK, 3PMx and 6EX as well as the setting I will be using in my ESC's.

My personal setup will be as follows for now.
  • Axial XR10
  • Futaba 4PK
  • Tekin FXR x 2
  • Futaba BLS152
  • Hot Bodies Rovers - White
  • Vanquish SSZ
  • Holmes Hobbies Torque Master Handwounds - 35 turn for now
  • Robotronics Servo horn
  • Castle Creations BEC
  • MaxAmps 3s 1100 Lipo
  • Freq E Skinz - Hardline Body

As always, a huge thank you to my sponsors and supporters. There is no way I would be able to do this without your help:
Axial Racing ~ Futaba ~ Vanquish Products ~ TCScrawlers.com ~ Holmeshobbies.com ~ MaxAmps ~ Freq E Dezigns

cant wait to see it. gotta question. if the crawlers are supposed to have lots of tourque (ie 55t motor and up) then why do so many people run 35t? I know the esc can crawl it along but why so much wheel speed? just for kicks or is there a crawling advantage to it?

Here we go the start of a three month 20 page project

Just teasing sounds like a good plan I know it will be built right and well documented! I plan on switching to a 4PK after nats so any questions Redbarron can't answer will be forwarded to you so I guess we'll be talking a lot!

It's something that just comes with your driving style. These 35 turns very well may be more wheel speed then warranted but I have yet to say that on any crawler I have owned thus far :ror:

ok thanks for the info man. so you like a crawler with a little attitude then? totally understand.

yeah it suites his attitude espcially when its his time of the month :lmao::lmao:

should be a good build i just hope its got lots of orange

First - :flipoff:

Second - The truck already comes in Harley edition ;-) and yes I will swapping in lots of Orange parts!
I confess I am another orange fan the body panels I just made for my berg are pearl clear backed in Orange! What day are you getting to Disney?
