Finally got my threaded rod pieces alm. tubing to be able to make my link. I dont really play with this much because I dont really have anything to play with it on. ( The only thing I asked for, for Christmas was Sandstone ), and I didnt get any! I will though had to wait for the snow to melt to get it, and it just so happens today all the snow melted in Southern Michigan!! But the place is prolly closed.

The first nite when I brought this home, prolly a month ago I took the springs off ( broke one at the top glued it ) helped alot, then I yanked the foams out of the tires and added BBs, worked good but no springs and all the weigh the body would never sit normal. Now I cut the springs so theres about 2-2.5mm of travel on them so when the suspensions bottomed out it resets the body.

I had made 4 Straight bottom links ( The rear tops were the bottoms ) But the next day I made the bent ones and just through the bottom on the top rear, about perfect size. I think center to center its 1.250" and I have about 4.600 - 4.700 Wheel Base. The front upper link is the stock lower, only because If I use my longer one My drive shaft will fall out, I messed up making the extensions and had to broach out the female shaft to clean some glue out, still didnt slide smooth so I cut the end off the male piece and cut to much. So then I took my tube cutter and cut in half and extended it some, and didnt extend it quite enough. It works it doesnt come out unless you drop it ( Ill order another set and make them longer )

I copied the bent links from someones post I seen bend it at the ball cup and then just miter the tube looks good, I just bent one stuck it on the truck traced it and made 3 more.

I added the HsS-65 karbonite servo after I busted the servo horn off the stock trying to get the link off, thought it would be dumb to spend 5 bucks for a new servo saver and pay 6 bucks for shipping when I ahd to order some spare parts for a MCX I just paid the extra 15 and got the good shit.

I definetly like the looks alot more, tires could prolly be another 3mm Taller for clearance, I can climb a box thats 1 1/2" tall I tried to climb the brick thats 2 1/4 but it hits under the center of the frame, Im sure with Qlos it would make 2 1/4 Ez, but If I get some sandstone the stuff prolly will be 1 - 2" thick id Imagine.

I had the Rx/esc on the servo before But I hate the way It looks, once I get my soldering skills better Ill decase it and slide it oppostie of the motor on the frame, But Eventually I wanna get either a TMC or Eclipse frame but moneys tight atm and this will suffice.

The batterys the Micro T Lipo had 2 of em, bought some Gens ace 500s but they are to big ( maybe for a scaler in the bed of the truck which I wanna do later off off the RPP K10 Truck ) The motor is also a micro T was in the process of re soldering the stock one that broke off and I was getting frustrated and quit.

Things on the Wish List

TMC or Eclipse Chasis
Qlos, RC4wd Tires, both sets
BWD wheels
RPP K10 1/24 Model ( For another Scaler Truck )

But enuff talking here she is.

Dunno why some are blurry nothing was moving.

Edit: I also removed the switch off the Rx Case, and ran the battery/motor wires through a hiole I cut where the switch mounted so they came out the same place in the center. The stock motor I rerouted the wire out the back of the servo, I might do it with the Hitec one but the wire is flexible enough I may leave it, it doesnt bind as bad.

Its alot better then the day I unboxed it, you couldnt climb over a VHS tape box without it tipping over. I think it needs some more bbs though, I did 40 in the front ( each ) 20 in the rears it has alot of wheel hope if the fronts go over something the same time the rears do, the stock tires dont seem to grip or dig in, even after I defoamed them.

I wish I had the stock motor in it, the micro t motor doesnt have the torque, its hard to squeeze the trigger to get it to go slow, Wish there was a Throttle trim buttom like the steering to reduce how much it goes when you trigger pull

Maybe Ill go see if I can find a dry spot in the rock garden and mess with her some, Ill be back with results

well went outside and there was a line of rocks surrounding a garden I crawler across, some of them were a little big, about the size of bowling balls little smaller and didnt really have good transitions from one to the other but It managed quite well, did get hung up on below the tranny alot and couldnt get traction.

I also took a notebook binder later when I came back in and stood it up, It was prolly close to 70* I can climb half way up and stop and it very very slowly starts to slide down, I added fuel line to my rear springs when I make them stiffer I can increase the angle some but once you get to the top you cant make it over because it hangs up on the tranny. So.....

Im guessing Extending the Length helps stablitly but makes getting over things harder, its only 1/2 longer, and alot lower now to ( prolly the problem ) I was gonna widen my rims with the mod, but it gets hung up enuff on the axle that would make it a little worse I would think just need bigger tires, and I dont think the rc4wd are big enough.

Im thinking someone needs to make a tire Half way between Stock and the Miclows. Stocks are like 46mm and miclows are 60mm? So a 56mm tire would still look somewhat scale and not to big like the miclows.

But even as cold as it was it was still fun to actually drive on some rocks, gonna see if the landscape place is open tomorrow and get some sandstone

Got my Rock Crushers and Loks today, but also notice I lost one of my losi lipos I got for a micro t a few years ago.... I charged them put one in the truck and the other in my pocket to go to my uncles after I picked up my presrciption came home went to bed and forgot about it. Realized it was missing and looked everywhere :x:x:x:x it was like 40 dollars back then with the charger, and they are the only 2 I have atm aside from the nihm = /. I bought some Gen racing ones but they are just a little big ( 450mah ) and most all of Hobby king are out of stock and I cant see waiting 2 months to get a battery.

these tires are cooler in rl that what you see in pictures, they look bigger just because they are more 90* edges rather then rounded, and I did notice the sidewall bit just tooling over stuff on the counter, Atm I still dont have them weighted and my rear end with my battery weighs 5 grams more then the front just need to add my bbs back into them

i was just reading this post after just installing a 300mah 2cell 7.4v li-po battery to my micro and was trying to craw slowly but found it hard like you said you do.
I have only had my micro crawler for about a week and i got it with the spektrum dx2.0 so i then look in the manual and found that i could adjust the throttle control , It is so much better now.:)
