Grand Junction Winter/Spring Series

Membership fee is $25 this is going towards insurance initially, then into the club fund. Payments are being taken at High Desert Race Place. Talk to andy. We need to get insurance paid by the first of feb. So try to make it down there as soon as possible.

Andy should be having you feel out a contact form with your name, phone, and email. So be prepared

I think they mentioned something about a per comp price also. You could PM losikid for more details. I hope that helps.

Due to the agreement I currently have worked out with BLM, zero cash can be exchanged at the comp. Once I can get the actual permitting done and worked out, there will be a $5 BLM fee on top of the comp fees to appease the Federalies. This will however open up more areas to do actual comps legally.

Put up a pic or bring it and I'm sure we can figure it out.

Any out of towners that want to pay club fees and don't come to junction often PM me in the next few days, i will take a paypal payment and get your money to andy @high desert.

comp fees are still pendng, (Is everyone ok spending $10 at a comp, 5 for additional classes????)

Are you talking about non-members paying at comps or all competitors?

I thought we all agreed to just pay a membership fee to cover trophies, insurance, and a few small club items. This way the people with kids aren't forking out a ton a cash.

After the first 2 comps, we will have the $5 BLM fee that MUST be paid to BLM if we are on their land. And I am ok with that.

Has something changed that we are needing to pay at each comp now? Also keep in mind that NO MONEY can change hands at the first two comps. That will NULL Gary's agreement with the BLM. And will surely mess up the good repor (sp) that we have with them at this point.

I think what you meant to say was... After the first two comps, we will have the $5 BLM fee that MUST be paid if we are on OUR land.
Despite what the gov't thinks it is the peoples land. Sad really, but I digress. I too would like clarification. After the $25 ins, ect. fee, are we looking at a $5 blm and $10 entry per event? Or is it $10 BLM and entry fee combined? We don't mind paying, but $15 per event seems a little steep unless we have something to show for it.

Here is the deal. We need the ins. if we want to comp at Warren's or if we start getting bigger than what BLM is allowing me at this time. I'm trying to keep BLM from getting any fees from us, just to expand our areas available, I may offer a barter/trade with them for land usage. Something like the adopt a highway scenerio. The board is who is working on and looking at the fee rate. Personally, cheapest is the best.

I meant 5 blm 5 per class, this means @ least 10 per comp. If we was to do fees

As for fees at a comp, still pending. Nothing set in stone. So just settle down.

Yes, that is what I was meaning for the BLM fee"thumbsup" Sorry I wasn't clear about that. I do agree with you about it really being our land, but that argument has been fought by people a lot smarter than me. I think the board is getting together a couple of proposals to bring up at the next comp so all the members can vote on them. I am hoping that I will be able to make this next comp and I am hopeful that a few more will show up also.

Thanks for letting us know your thoughts, and as we hear more we will make sure to PM you and see what you guys think "thumbsup"
