Yeah you could run your own. I think the RCP people would of let you they are nice people. Teampurpleracn was all over that course all day. :mrgreen:

Not really, axial didn't even make it out. I think the RCP both was better this year. The RC drag cars were sweet.

But the biggest drawback on RTR is that the ESC does not include a drag brake...which means you will probably upgrade this soon anyway.

Not only that, there's no instant reverse. I swapped out the AE-1 ESC the day I picked it up, my daughter didn't even have a chance to drive it with the stock ESC. :mrgreen: Axial has the AE-2 ESC, which is basically a rebranded Castle, but these do not come with the TR (RTR) trucks. They still come with the AE-1, on the plus side they do come with a 2.4GHz radio!

(Anyone want to buy an Axial AE-1 ESC for cheap? :lmao

With remote is better. That way you don't need a 3 or 4 channel radio.

I went to buy some at the RCX for the club but they wouldn't give me a deal. I will check other place for them and see if I can get them for cheap.
