Sneed's Sloppy Seconds

I may shed a tear when/if this thing goes....

A buddy of mine has a XR that he's no longer running and collecting dust. I figured I'd give that a go "thumbsup"

I sorta let mine go for an XR10, The losi has taken on a new role as a sportsman truck and it fills that role very well.

Well the Losi still stay's over at the house... So I thought about posting some progress...

I lowered the CDW dig mount. I simply mounted the plates under the square blocks. This lowered the dig servo by about 4 1/2mm. I know not alot but this helped resolve my dig shift issue

Only during front digs, the dig shaft wouldn't pull forward but bend downwards due to the servo linkage.

Here's the angle now...

I had the shifting issue's before lowering it. Lowering it resolved it "thumbsup"

For those who may want to try it... Mounting the plates under the blocks causes upper link interference using the top hole. That's why my front uppers are now mounted on the outside of the chassis. I added a small spacer between the rod end and mount on the axle side to keep the link angle close to stock. Also with the bent links in the front, I had to put more limiters on externally in the front stocks. I don't know exactly what made the truck much more stable but it works! Tested some familiar lines to verify

Had a comp this past weekend. Finished 4th. Pretty far behind 1st but still in 3rd for the series, 5 points from the leader. I've been thinking I need a different truck...but I'm managing okay with the shafty :flipoff:

Overall this rig is setup! I only change shock oil and pistons. And fix what breaks  I do however think a narrow chassis would help a lot. Especially is this climb above. I had to come around and take a gate to progress. I ofcourse I may it after the comp...

Nice!"thumbsup"

I still follow a couple die hards and the videos and scores still impress me.

What are you thinking for a chassis? The link placement seems perfect stock and I haven't seen anything lime it.

I've thought about a GC3A or something familiar.

I know its not skinnier but Robs/CDW side pieces and moving the chassis forward have really brought my LCC alive.

Shifting the weight forward and lower has helped in my break overs and climbing.

Nice job on the series spot ....keep pushing those MOAs ..... "thumbsup"
