Ok guys, I'm posting this here as opposed to the electronics forum as I'm looking for scale input only.

Who is running the CC Mamba Micro Pro in their scale rig?

Looking for some input.

Weight of rig

Motor

Voltage

Issues if any.

Thanks, we have had several Micro Pro failures locally and I'm trying to figure out if we're just unlucky, or if the Micro isn't up to use in these heavier rigs as compared to their use in Comp rigs.

Thanks!"thumbsup"

I've been running one in my Grand Cherokee for two years. It's been sealed up in a box and looks like brand new.

Weighs around 7.5 lbs.
3s 2200 Elite 35c battery
11t 480 Cobalt motor

Been completely trouble free.

Is a Mamba Micro Pro the same as a Mamba 25?

No, the Mamba 25 has been updated w/ the Mamba Sidewinder Micro and then there is the Mamba Micro Pro which seems to be very popular w/ the comp scene.

In the KCRC area, we have has 5-6 in the last 6 weeks go up in smoke. Mine was the latest. Only 4 gates and 5 minutes into a run. All of them seem to lose forward or reverse.

As with anything there will be someone that can make it work, but the idea that I got from talking to the Castle tech about them a while back was that the Micro Pro would be fine with a 45t or above, but would be pushing it a little with a 35t. He implied that you would just see some extra heat from running the 35t.

i was running one with a 35t a 2200mah 25c 3s lipo around the driveway came to a little ledge about 4 in high nosed up to it eased into the throttle to climb over and poof the magic smoke. took back to lhs and just grabbed a sidewinder

Just curious, why would anyone want to run a Mamba Micro in a scaler that wasn't MRC based?

CC Sidewinder is same price or cheaper, and it'll definitely hold up to 540 motor with 3s lipo.

The same reason people run them in comp rigs, they are small, lite, and easy to conceal.

I got mine in a trade and just decided to use it in my scaler. I've run a 30t, 35t, 45t, and the 11t Cobalt on 3s with no problems, so maybe there was a bad batch? How old are the Micro's that have been going up in smoke Dez?

All of them were recently picked up from Castle (Which is located very close to us) Mine was brand new and I got about 7-10 minutes of use before I lost forward control and later reverse.

Is say you all got a bad batch.

I tend to agree, and will be calling Castle on Monday.
Hopefully we can get this sorted out, as I would like to stick with Castle.
Regardless of issues, there service has always been great.
And I know they'll make it right.

Not real happy w/ Castle Creations, or their "Customer Service".

Their stuff was rock solid for years, now it seems like everything they release has issue after issue.

Guess it's time to try and find another company to support.
