Those pics look amazing. Cant wait to see more pics from Montana.
Hopefully some video of these awesome rigs doing what they were built for. Must have been really cool to meet the guys and see the trucks in person.:ror:

What a POS, glad to have helped supply the some of the parts to get across the finish line.

You and Patrick did Texas proud this weekend. Still gotta talk the wifey to the GP in 2012 but if so we're coming down for some Southern hospitality.

Great action pics Tommy. As with the others, looks like you guys had a blast out there! Hope you're recovering after the weekend :D!

Justin, you're da man! Thanks for the pics!! It was awesome meeting you and Courtney. Great times and I hope we can do it again next year!

Wow that is awesome!! good job"thumbsup"

lol nice pics. i remember our conversation in austin, your words were, "i think im just going to ease into the mud and water"

Thanks, y'all! Cory, I don't remember saying any such thing! :ror: I owe you one, brotha! You really came through with the motor situation. "thumbsup"

I very curious to hear what motor/battery setup you went with to give you such great picture mojo.... "thumbsup"

I ended up with a 7t on 3s. It crawled great, but still lacked wheelspeed compared to everyone else. But that was only a factor a few times so I was cool with it. I see big brushless in my future...... ;-)

LOL! I can't thank you enough for the help, Dan. Seriously! And let me know if y'all make it down for the F1 GP next year. :)

It was awesome, but now the muscles are starting to get sore. So much running around! But so worth it!! 8)

Awesome pics! Need to clean my drool off the floor now lol

Love it!!

I will need to put together my pics and my thoughts and I'll post up something to summarize the whole Montana trip within a day or two. In short, it was the best time I've EVER had with RCs and I really hope to make it back next year. TTC was an absolute BLAST and I'll do everything I can to run it again!

Anyway, please stay tuned for updates coming soon! "thumbsup"

Glad to hear the 7T held up for you. I figured it would be your best option if you could keep it cool enough.
The 1/8th scale brushless setups are the best of both worlds if you can afford them. I don't blame you one bit. "thumbsup" I'm just biding time until I make the switch.

I tell people that they need to go to Scale Nats to experience the fun but until they make the commitment and go they just don't realize what they are missing. I'm glad you got to go and really glad to hear you had so much fun.

I'm interested in Tekin's new crawler motor they're bringing out. Still pricey, but it sounds like in a scaler, might bring together the best of torque and wheelspeed.

x100000 on the scale nats experience. By far the best part about it is hanging out with others and bs'ing about toy trucks. Next year again for me for sure.

Thanks, Chris! Yeah, the motor ran fine the whole time. In fact, we even did a little bashing after the Tank Trap 'til the batteries died. Can't thank you enough for the advice! "thumbsup" If I stick with a serious national caliber TTC build, there will certainly be some powerplant changes, though. :ror:

Very glad I made the trip! Well worth the time and money, IMO.

I love the idea of the new T8/Stack combo, but fear it'll be cost prohibitive. I have a really hard time investing that kind of money in my rig. I'll certainly consider alternatives, but may just have to pony up the 401k when the time comes! :lmao:

If Oly makes it back next year, I'd expect a couple changes, but we'll see. That's a long ways off. :)

Tommy, congratz on the result... from the picture justin put up and a few guys out there.. you must had a blast that few days... Oly especially looks awesome as usual.

hope to see more updates here.. more pictures and of coz the summary of that days. keep us informed "thumbsup"

hey there tommy, just read through your thread, and i gotta say . . . . awsome man . . . but i was wondering . . . . where is the big wing that oly had? i think that wing is what made oly . . . . oly lol. anywhoo great build

Chappy

Your welcome and glad I could help parts and bs'ing....

If you and the girl can make it up here let me know. We'll try to put you here at our place. Plus you can bring Oly up for some runs not far from his original sponsor...

For those who are on the fence for Nats next year get off of it and show up. As Griz and Ecoli said it can't be missed. Great trucks new friends and killer courses to drive.

Thanks, Chappy! Keep in mind that my Oly isn't a reproduction of the original. It's just a more modern rock crawling version of it. So no wing on this crawler! :)

Tommy, it was great meeting you and locked up this year and glad I could see the OLy up close. Very cool rig and what a beast.
I certaily admire your mad skills at fixing. I don't think anyone was as determined as you to getting er done.

I very much hope you texas crew come again next year. It wouldn't be the same otherwise.
I just hope I can get into TTC again next year as well as you so we can go toe to toe once again.

Hope ya both had fun.

P.S. I think OLy might be pregant, lol
