Import Tuner fans??

ok, here's the cool factor scale test.
Dezfan, is your spoiler:
A. A subtle factory ad on to gain more apeal from the traget demographic.
B. A 2 foot tall carbon fiber, platnium, space age material sort of thing.
C. Made of wood.

A

I think.

I'm not sure what a apeal from the traget demographic is?:ror:

:ror: neither am I!

But, my wife dated a Filipino guy (yes it was before I met her) and when he first moved to the U.S., his mom bought a wagon and let him drive it... and he put a wooden spoiler on it because he thought they were really cool. He eventually figured it out, we ran into him last summer and he was riding a Honda Hayabusa... he's come a long way.

I just bought a VW passat a couple weeks ago. Its the first car Ive had since I was 17 years old. (Im 31) Otherwise its been all sport trucks or mini trucks. So far Im really diggin it.
Im not really into the whole ricer, wings, fart cans and loud blow off valves though. And the whole scene has ruined a couple of my local drag strips. Instead of getting 4-5 pulls like we used to, its now filled with 14-17 second dumbass's who think there Vin Diesel.

:lmao:

My favorite all time import that I've owned: 1981 Mercedes Benz 240D w/a 4 speed manual. I paid 1000 for it, drove the piss out of it and sold it for 1000... to an Orthodox Jew. He told me it was time for him to meet a woman so he wanted the Benz to impress the ladies. It was rusted, faded, torn interior, no stereo or headliner and sounded like a low flying aircraft

I guess they probably are. I normally call it my bitch, ****, whore, or something along those lines.

Scions are the real chick cars. LOL!!

 I have a tC... Got a few things done, definitely want to do more.
Tein H or S springs, I can't remember which. I think it's the former.
Tanabe Gold Medallion cat-back exhaust
ADR M-Sports(15's) in gunmetal, my car is the charcoal grey color. I really want something in black with a red lip and bigger, like 17 or 18.

My favorite car so far was my previous one, an 02 Dodge Neon. I'm more a show rather than go in the car world. So, my neon consisted of a lot of goodies. It was yellow and I had a CF hood, yellow/black Sparco seats, Eibach springs, black 17's(can't remember the brand...), no name exhaust, Xenon tasteful body kit. It was my baby and I was pleased with it's look and was going to start adding some power mods to it, but I wrecked it somewhat hard. Meh.

jcboof, I'd go with the Volk, BTW.

I was into the big jeep thing, with a wicked crawler still rusting away in the backyard. I got tired of driving an hour, to drive offroad all day, and drive an hour home. Then I got the EVO. I pull out of the driveway and I'm haveing fun. Work sucks but I like the drive. The plan is to go to Maple Grove Raceway tonight and get some 1/4 runs in.

I was just kidding about the Scion thing. Its a Honda guy thing I guess! LOL!

The Volks are badass, but at $425 per wheel, I gotta do some more saving!

I love Audi's. I wanted one of these bad boys for a long time, the ultimate sleeper. I almost had one a few years ago but we couldn't agree on the price.

Not that far... The Busa is no Honda.

I love imports and domestics, but have owned more imports than domestics.

My current car is an '06 Corolla XRS, it's a Celica GT-S in 'rolla clothing. Fun, sporty, 6sp Manual, 36mpg highway "thumbsup"

My last car was an '87 BMW 325i. I love E30's!

Prior to that I had an '03 Mazdaspeed Protege, probably the most fun to drive car I have ever owned, and 3rd most modified.

An '00 Celica GT-S before that, purchased in Sept. 1999 to have a reliable daily

Before the Celica I had a '95 FD3 (RX7).... The car I wish I never sold. It was by far the most heavily modified car I have ever owned, the second fastest car I have owned, and a really close runner up to the MSP on the fun-o-meter. The kid i sold it to wrapped it around a tree less than a week later. I got a call from his hospital bed

The two domestics I have owned come next. a '69 El Camino with blown 396 and a 411 rear end, many other goodies, but many years ago and the memory is hazy. It was the fastest car I have ever owned and sexy to boot. My daily at the time was a '91 Plymouth Sundance... shitty car....

And the first car I have ever owned was a '59 Beetle "thumbsup" Ok maybe this was the most fun car I ever had. or the one I had the most fun in anyway.

Sorry for my fever driven babble.... it was fun reminiscing

Oh yeah, they are pricey. The 5Zigen's are nice, too. And cheaper to boot. With Volks, if I had them, I'd be so nervous near curbs, one scratch and I'd probably start crying, even if it weren't very noticeable. Wheels I LOVE and look good on any car, and are just as expensive as Volks are Advan RGII's. I'd kill for a set of those in black.

Just curious on how many guys here are into Import or Euro cars?
Me!
Some of my past cars.

My Favorite EG...did most the work myself

eric113, very nice!
When I bought the WRX I was looking at the Mazdaspeed 3/6, Forester XT, Volvo S60R, Audi S4/S6 and the Saab Aero's... but I got such a good deal on the WRX I couldn't pass it up.

Got an '02 Civic Si.

And and '94 Civic DX that's a little tweaked on for autocrossing in the EP class.

And I like this picture a lot. In race trim instead of not legal street mode.

And Scions are chick cars. :flipoff:

Duuuuuuuuude, did that car make it to Arkansas? Pretty cool.

I'm an old "big american V8 with pushrods" kind of car guy, but EVO's, WRX's and a few other rear wheel drive cars are interesting. Even Miatas, would love to have a Miata to autox. I just can't get into the wrong wheel drive thing. I've even autox's Accords, but having to trail brake them deeeeep in to the corner to get any rotation is weird.

I miss SCC as well. Good stuff.
