What shoes do you wear for a day on the rocks?

i wear some SFC (shoes for crews) chuck taylor lookalikes. black is too damned hot in the direct sunlight, but they are light, cheap, feel comfy as hell even after a whole day on the rocks. and.... the tread rivals your favorite pin tires on your crawler. "thumbsup"

I have been rocking a pair of newbalance which are fine on rock but no good in loose dirt/gravel so my next pair will be a set of hiking boot/shoe

5-10 aproach shoes (stealth rubber!) I feel much more secure on the rocks with all that traction.

I usually just wear my new balance. I did however try on some of those weird looking shoes with the individual toes at REI and really liked them. Seemed to be good on the fake rocks they had in the store. I liked them because you could really curl your foot and grip things better.

Merrel trail runners or my belleville boots.

pretty much anything with good arch support (boot) is good for my rocks as they're generally granite knobs that come out of the ground with very little area to actually support the rest of your foot.

guys should look up 510 mtb shoes.
they make rockclimbing shoes but the mtb shoes you can wear wherever, find em at MEC they have the grippiest rubber ive ever come across.
