I love wearing Vans. They conform to rocks better than running shoes, so they dont slip as easy. Not to mention, they are alot more comfortable than running shoes IMO.

and have added the Work Shop cushions and Dr Schol's custom fit orthotics to them. I've only used the once while out with my Scaler (they worked well in one spot, but the other was still under water), but also had them at Road America, where they shined on some of the extra steep grass/rock inclines by turn 7 far better than the regular tennis shoes I wore last year.

I wear a Van's style shoe. The sole has not "void" so constant traction whereever my feet are positioned. I tried in some New balance running shoes but the big lugs and gaps messed me up.

They make the most comfortable low top ever too. Warning though... not so good on wet creek rocks. :shock:
