Herman Cain

Wow, are you racist? If a man can DO THE JOB correctly does it matter the color of his skin ? NO

Dude, you missed the concept. He was speaking about times changing. We could ue a woman at some point, there are some seriously backassward country's that have already had female presidents/prime ministers, wtc.
But hey, the black man got to vote before the white woman. Racist, probably not. Sexist, probably so!

His tax plan has merit, you shift the taxes to consumtion vs taxes every dime I make and then some. Should I choose to save my money instead of spend it I can and do so without tax. It might make Americans save instead of spend spend spend. The problem I see is the potential for abuse. Spending goes down but they still need money so raise the tax, kind of llike they do now.

Limiting taxation to spending is not going to see a decrease in spending. In fact, I'll bet you that spending would go up a bit.

Money has to be spent, it has to be circulated for our system to work. Putting it all in a safe or box or bank does nothing for the economy. Sure, economists are telling people to keep their money in the banks, but that only benefits the banks. ;-)

REDISTRIBUTION IS BULLS**T, CLASS WARFARE IS BULLS**T, WE ARE PROMISED LIFE , LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. I DON'T KNOW WHERE ALL THIS HORSES**T ABOUT TAKE FROM THE RICH CAUSE THEY DON'T DESERVE IT CAME FROM, ALL I KNOW IS I HAVE WHAT I WORKED HARD TO GET. IT WAS A HARD ROAD AT TIMES, BUT IF I FAILED AT SOMETHING ITS NO ONE ELSES FAULT BUT MY OWN. I AM MY OWN MAN AND WIN LITTLE OR WIN BIG IT WILL BE OF MY OWN CHOOSING, I DON'T NEED SOME UNAMERICAN SOB TO DECIDE IF I DESERVE TO KEEP WHAT I HAVE WORKED FOR OR NOT

The only rich people who need put on a short leash are those who have done nothing more than lie, cheat, and steal to get their wealth.

He isn't a politician, we have enough of those.

He isn't a lawyer, we have enough of those. In fact one of the key issues I have with our system is that is is set by lawyers to benefit lawyers even if all else fails. Follow the money trails, they always take you to the lawyers

So if I pay a mercenary a bunch of money to kill someone, am I not to be held accountable? Is he? What if I hire a bounty hunter? What if I hire a private investigator to follow you around and report on your activities then post them up on RCCrawler.com. Am I not to be help accountable? Is the PI? What if I pay a clown to come to your child's birthday party, but your child is phobic of clowns. Do we blame the clown?

My point is lawyers are a part of the paper trail, just not the end. Businesspeople pay lawyers to work very hard to enable their corporations in myriad ways.

They are just doing what someone hired them to do. But for the grace of God, there go I.

agreed completely, ill got gain is a crime, though many times hard to prove, e.g. Politicians, lobbyists, drug dealers etc.

Damn those pot dealers, ruining our country one joint at a time.

And damn those lobbyists, ruining our country one joint session at a time.

And damn those revolving doors between major corporations board's, major legal entities, major financial institutions, major lobbying groups, large special interest groups, congress, the senate, federal regulatory commissions...

Fire the whole government!:lmao::lmao:

WE WILL FIRE SOME OF THE GOVERMENT COME ELECTION DAY, AND YOU FORGOT ABOUT YOUR FREINDLY NEIGHBORHOOD COKE, SMACK AND METH DEALERS "thumbsup"

YOU FORGOT ABOUT YOUR FREINDLY NEIGHBORHOOD COKE, SMACK AND METH DEALERS "thumbsup"

IF NOT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD, BUT THERE GO I! "thumbsup" I wonder if special interest leaders have the opportunity to make money some other way.

Pretty much any of the big wigs on Wall Street. More specifically, anyone who grossly profited from the housing bust...

At my former company, our CEO ran us into the shitter and resigned from his position, walking away with a year's salary and a 40 million dollar bonus. A month later we were bought out and laid off.

People who are getting paid to blunder is what is sickening.

Well... to try and get this thread back on track, I am still weighting the options and watching the debates before I settle on a candidate.
However Herman Cain as a business man is something that is needed for our country! "thumbsup"

Dude, CAPS LOCK can be turned off.

Now, I've only heard snippets of cain and his ideas, but what I've heard is promising and the man has run major corporations and done well at it, Thats the type of mentality America needs

That or Dave Ramsey for president...."thumbsup"

And the rest are on the up and up? BTW, define "rich"...

Of course not all are goodie two shoes, most everyone isn't. But then again, most everyone isn't out to make as much as possible, even if it means killing the economy to do it.

I set my sights higher than most...I consider "rich" to be multi millionaires and up, people who can take a good hit and still live decently enough.

That made very little sense to what I posted. In fact in made very little sense at all. No bother in trying to respond beyond that.

So moving on.

Class warfare is not the solution here. There are rich thieves and poor thieves. ALL people need to pay their fair share, starting with all of those who at this point pay nothing............

Sure, economists are telling people to keep their money in the banks, but that only benefits the banks. ;-)

My thought is that theres a reason behind that. The banks can then in turn lend the money back out to the "lower" (is there a more PC way to say that?) class in order to keep the giant sh!tball rolling.

Im already starting to see some of what was going on before the crash. Since me and the miss are looking for a house I can personally relate to the mortgage market, although there are other venues. Its starting to pop up here and there.

The only rich people who need put on a short leash are those who have done nothing more than lie, cheat, and steal to get their wealth.

And I can relate to a short leash because this new to me 8wk old Pit is wearing me out.

You said lawyers are behind all of politics. You said lawyers are setting things up to better themselves and other lawyers, even when the economy collapses. I disagree. I believe, to a large extent, what you are talking about are major financial institutions and businesses. Look at pharmaceutical companies, banks and brokers, agriculture lobbies, etc. They are the major forces. The lawyers act on behalf of business. If you follow the paper trail it doesn't end in lawyers pockets. Someone pays the lawyers.

Maybe you are trying to communicate how through it's esoteric nature law has grown to be more specialized than it needs: forcing large corporations seeking to affect change to the laws and government through indirect and anonymous means to continue hiring lawyers.

I hope I articulated my thoughts well and painted a picture in your mind that matches the one in mine.

PS: Don't most of us do things every day we disagree with, because it's our job? Maybe we all don't philosophize about workplace environments, but if I was born in a ghetto who is to say I wouldn't have wanted to be the best, smartest drug dealer. If I was in a situation where I was not offered the opportunity to read many of the books I have, I certainly would not have turned out the way I am. Imagine the life of a religious scholar who was never introduced to the text they hold dear. Thanks to God, I am the way I am; without him I would be the person you berate.
