Not for long periods of time. One comp course at a timeis probably ok. Any longer and it will be getting too hot.

Yes, but you must watch the heat until you get a feel for how it runs with your setup. Just like the 7t on 3s.

Hey John , I came up with a couple of 10T's in a trade. I think they need rebuilt....brushes , bearings...
Can you do that?
How much?

We can do it. It is $10 labor to freshen it all up and replace brushes, plus cost of parts. Replacing the bearings can be tricky, half the time the bearing blows out and leaves the outer race in the can or endbell even with heat used to open up the pocket. Just have to get in there and give it a shot.

im building a tube chassis scaler and its starting to get pretty heavy, i will be using this truck in the trails with my friends and want some good wheel speed cause they have their trucks geared fast..... what would be my best option for motor on 3s or 4s with out burning the motor up out on the trails? im thinking its gonna be around 9+ pounds

I would suggest the 14t arms for that voltage and weight. Cool running, not too crazy.

The wraith would need a bit of modifying to fit a puller. The stock ESC would take a 10t or 14t no problem. I would suggest a 540 unless you are willing to mod the chassis.

We are currently out of 7t and 10t arms, but there is a batch coming my way soon. Estimation is about two weeks. We are also seeing if there are any more blank arms left so I can start custom winding to order. It will allow us to keep an inventory of whatever people need for rebuilds for as long as possible. Once the armatures are gone I will be focusing on bringing the Puller 2 to market to replace the Cobalt Puller build.

Just wondering how these motors stand up to water and mud. I was hoping to put one in my scx10

They work like any other motor in water and mud. They get dirty and wear out fast, and need to be cleaned after every run. I recommend cheap motors for that sort of use.

If any one has any doubts about the torque of the HH Cobalt 14t. I have some pics to show you.
This is one rear tire, the most messed up one of the four. 8 1/2 pound rig, 6s, stock 48p Axial spur w/24t pinion. After a couple, front wheels off the ground pulls, this is the result.

Torque out the butt!! The thing that really amazes me is the smooth slow speed nature of this motor. This thing will CRAWL!! Even with 3s, while not as dramatic, the tires will unseat themselves somewhat. This is the second set of rims that does this. The first set were Mayhem spyders. I thought maybe it was the rims, but not now. Don't think the TSL's are gonna last so I'm gonna try Rok-Lox tires next.

And guess who just got a pile of unwound arms so that we can do customs? ME!! Any wind you want, we have the wire to wind it. Want a 17t? Can do! Want a 10 or 11t? No problem!

I just acquired one of these cobalt motor from a friend with the stickers a bit beat up with the turns unreadable. Is there a way to determine the turns? Any other marking to look for? Wire Size?

I took a break from the crawling world, but I am getting amped to get back into this. Before backing my axial away I remember always searching for a cobalt puller used. Are these back on the market?!
