Pictured is my 1st crack at molding 282 carbon fiber to make a wraith hood. Just cooked it today.

What to you guys think?

The fiberglass mold I made had a failure due to heat I guess. The lol in the hood is from the fiberglass failing with the aluminum bracing I used. Next time ill figure out a better bracing system or remove the grill entirely.

It was a royal pain in the ass to mold around such tight corners. But I think they turned out good.

With my fiberglass mold ruined from the bad choice in bracing ill have to look into buying a aluminum one from one of the vendors here.

Side Panels are cooking tomorrow!

Looks great"thumbsup". Did you cook it in the wife's oven?:lmao:

lol that would make a stink you couldnt get out... But you could if thats all you had.

I used a autoclave set at 250 F. It has vacuum lines inside so the product is always under vacuum pressure to insure no air is in the final product.

this is only needed for a prepreg cloth. Im going to fix up my fiberglass mold with some bondo and do a wet layup with some super clear epoxy. "thumbsup"

you did an awesome job you better get a vendor star cause you will be asked to make a bunch for people on here ,good job ."thumbsup"

X3. If you make them, I will buy one. For sure!
Unless its a hundred dollars. Then I will wish I could buy one. Haha.
