KC's C2/G6 TJ BUILD...

Well after the ttc the jeep took a pretty bad beating and the front axle is in desperate need of a rebuild. The beef tubes are rotating in the housing, and the cvd's have rotational sticking when at full turn. Already have new housings and waiting on a few parts to reassemble. So for now she's on jacks while under construction.

Going to drill and tap some more holes in the housing and beeftubes to help hold them more securely and help with holding them in place from rotating.

Stay tuned for what's going inside the front axle!

Also while the rigs on jacks I decided to install my R2J 4link truss along with some new bent upper links.

Looking good! Do the sway bars mess with the articulation at all? Sure looks sweet!

Thx mg! And to answer ur question no it does not. I'm using 1/16th piano wire in rear for torsion rod. And 1 size down in the front. Still allows articulation while maintianing body roll stability. Best susp mod I've done next to 3link w/panhard.

heres some pics from sunday at a local trail.

ok... so whilst looking at these babies in the bag i didnt realize a few things...

once opened and a comparison was made i found out... that... there is NO comparison to these.

everything about them is beefy. absolutely no slop in the joint and excellent workmanship. lemme post some pics to show you.

left to right

axial cvd, 3racing cvd, vanquish vvd

the shank is strait beef. compared to the others well... there isnt..
20120806_171830.jpg

the joint is significantly thicker than both of the others.
20120806_171844.jpg

and the pin.... oh the pin... its literally 2x the size of the axial cvd. yet still gets the same steering angle.

you guys at vanquish have stepped up to the plate with this one and i love them.

now to the install.

gather tools

next loosen locker
20120806_171128.jpg

remove the knuckle and slide out old axle/cvd, then insert new vvd and check spacing and fitment... i didn expect less than perfect.

reassemble knuckle assy. and take sweet pics

That picture works! Thank you. Do you still have the tsl boggers in post 311? Could you post those up next to the 1.9 baja claw? "thumbsup"

I no longer have the boggers.. try pm NJK he has them. They came in right at 5" tall and a little sidewall bulge on a normal width rim. Looked great. But try see if he could hook you up.
