iPhone 5

still my point if you want a huge screen than use a tablet. phones are not suppose to be huge they are made small so they fit easy in your pocket and dont get in the way of your normal life. i know the iphone isnt huge but it does get in my way sometimes and im a bigger guy. it always turns in my pocket.

All personal preference. I can't leave stuff stock, or untouched.

I like the droid OS, it's not as smooth as an iphone, but that's what happens when you run user created ROMs, overclocked, etc. ;-)

I'll stick with my 4S for a while. The little woman is due for an upgrade from her crackberry, might try to talk her in to the i5, now that she has an iPad and can understand how a touchscreen works.
I do like the lower initial price of the i5. Time will tell if this will fly or flop.

I used to be the same way. Even got the iPhone so I could jailbreak it. Then I realized it worked right the first time.

Jailbroke my Iphone, but was worse off than before. Restored it when iOS5 came out, and sold it for the Galaxy.

Rooted droids are a different story, you can do anything, widgets, 1x1 to 10x10 icons per screen, 1-10 icons on the dock, no dock, resize icons, resize widgets, status bar, no status bar, etc.

It's pretty amazing, I'd recommend going to look at a S3, I always keep my options open, I'm not biased, I would recommend the iPhone to anyone, but Droid to anyone who likes to tinker with electronics or like big screens.

I'll be getting one in Nov., due for upgrade then and sick of the Droid X. I gave it a try from my iPhone 3gs but NEED to go back to Apple.

My personal recommendations would be an iPhone 5 or Galaxy S3. Go play with both, and make your own decision, can't go wrong with either.

Not an HTC or Motorola fan.

heres the truth ios was made by apple for apple stuff. android was made by google to be used on all different phones. ios is simple to use android is made for people that like to play around with everything. myself i dont know a lot about electronics or programing so i like my phone to be very user friendly. both are great it just comes down to the user. i just dont understand why people always have to go around bashing other stuff because they think its better. its more like you want people to use the stuff you like just because you like it. i have had 2 droids and hated both of them because they never worked right as in stuff was always crashing and would never open because the phone was made very poor (both motorola). on the other hand one of my friends has the new htc evo which works great and from what i have seen has no problems. imo motorola needs to get on there a game and start makeing good phones again like they used to. they left a bad taste in my mouth for android so ill stick with my iphones. i really dont care if my phone is super fast or doesnt have flash or has a huge screen, everything works the way i like it so ill stick with it till apple screws something up.

u guys keep staying with that over priced proprietary gear over there....

My i4S was the same price as an S3...difference is the 4S is an original design, not a copy :flipoff:

Samsung>Apple...... Proof: Samsung makes components for Apple. :flipoff:

Apple designs the chip...Samsung is just lowest price to build it. Samsung is just making Apple components, they had no hand in the design of the chip.

Wonder if they plan to steal that chip too...:flipoff:

who is going to get the first 5's? at&t or verizon or are they getting them at the same time?

I heard all 3 (sprint, at&t, and verizon) all get them same time to preorder. The other carriers will also be getting them in a few months.

Controlling the hardware means guaranteeing quality user experiences. Google is getting its name sullied by some makers because its not Android failing, but the manufacturer failing to complete all phases of testing (enter HTC and Motorola).

Title of this thread should of been.....

"How many Suckers can Apple Inc. bait this time"

--Sent from my Samsung Galaxy SII via my 2 Thumbs--

I'm not a hater, don't like it just keep reading...:lmao:

I'm due for a upgrade.. I have htc evo 4g now. Been thinking about drinking the kool aid.

It still connects to the same internet. I really dont care.
I have a iPhone 3gs that still works flawlessly, if it decides to pack it in I will definitely replace it with another iPhone, but I'm not gunna go out and buy a new iPhone when the one I have still works.
Especially since it's nothing ground breaking like when they brought internet onto phones.

the iPhone 5 looks great, but i'm even more excited for iOS 6. i think the big upgrade here is in the firmware, but the hardware upgrades are still awesome. i have the 4S so since it will run iOS 6 well i'm sure, i think i'll be okay holding off upgrading til the 5S comes out. seems like they do hardware upgrades on the numbered versions, and refine it and upgrade the firmware even more on the S versions.

I just uwillingly retired my EVO 4G, cracked to outer screen and can't seem to get it to work after I attempted to install the new one.

So I moved over to prepaid and snagged the EVO 3D on VM, rooted and a fresh rom is all I need.

My neighbor guy just upped his phone to the new Galaxy S3, pretty slick phone from what I've seen. My wife has made mention about getting an iPhone, honestly I don't think she would like it. She loves her EVO other than the overall size of it. EVO 4G Design is what we're looking at replacing it with.
