Oh ya. Just about perfect! If it was me I would go just a little bit lower bit then you would have the tire rub so it's understandable not to. Looks much better now though.

Salmonface (haha nice name), thx for pointing out the bump stops. I was thinking of removing them if I run 1.55 wheels to get some more flex. I can just cut the bump stops out without taking the shocks totally apart, right?

Yes you can. You can use a hobby knife or lexan scissors to cut them from top to bottom along the shaft and press them out through the bottom, of the springs.

How about some refernce pics of EB's.

Heres my old Tamiya EB on MRC axles, and 1.55's with the same bumper as you I believe.

Heres my old Porkbelly EB. Its on Axial SCX10 axles with 1.55's.

As for action shots, I don't have any yet since I've only had the SCX10 for 6 days, haha. I wanted to take a few shots outside today but it has been pouring all day and I haven't waterproofed anything yet. I will see what I can come up with for some new pictures.

I've had my scx-10 for about 3 years. Never ever waterproofed it. Never had any problems. I even spray it down with the hose after a mud run. The great thing about scale rigs is you can run in the rain since all the electronics are under the body. Jut don't drive to fast so you don't splash up under the body. I would wait till it stops raining though. You don't want to be holding a metal pole in ye air during a storm. I was at the beach one time right before a huge storm was about to hit. I heard a wierd buzzing noise and realized it was coming from the tip of my radio antenna. The static electricity in the air was attracted to the radio signal being sent to my truck. If I had stayed outside during the storm there's a good possibility I may have been struck by lightning. Basically holding a lightning rod in the air.

haha that's a good point about the radio attracting static electricity in a storm!... I grabbed my camera and took some poser shots to show you the flex. I still have a tiny bit of rubbing in the back but I think I can get that fixed without raising the body. I also took a few shots in the rain, and tried to just drive it slow like you were saying.

Great shots. Did you remove the bumpstops? I would think the scx-10 had more flex than that. Ehh. What do I know.

Thanks. I didn't remove the bumpstops yet. Actually I have the spring retainers turned down a little bit to make the springs a little stiffer and prevent the truck from flexing 100%. I just got the droop kit from Level 3 RC so that I can play with the shock mounting point and raise/lower everything

Truuu. Makes sence. If you get rid of the bumpstops then u will have the rubbing problem. Let me know how that droop setup thing works. I've always wanted to do a droop setup but never could invest in one.

I see you were thinking about the Tough Armor rear tire carrier?

If you really want to add a rear tire carrier i would recommend the Version 2 Tough Armor carrier.

It has a full rear bumper rather than just tubes.

The rear tire carrier is superior and has three mounting holes for different tire sizes.

It looks cool with or without a tire. it has a webbed style corner plate that gives it a sort of west coast customs look.

The icing on the cake is the spring T-Lever mechanism for locking the tire carrier to the bumper. It is realistic and locks into place. You wont need an allen key to secure it like the first version.

here is a pic, you can see the little t-lever and the full bumper.

One trade up over the first version is LED holes. you get that with Version 2 but you lose the mounts for the tow-shackles.

Damn! No updates for almost a week. WHAT THE FAWKKKKK!!! Hahah. Jus kiddin. Take your time man. I've learned with this hobby. The faster you go the more things get messed up.
