iPhone 5

I have always had troubles going from VZW crap to any other phone. I have a 1st gen Droid that completely scrambled all of my contacts.

And yes Norm the 4S will clock up to higher rates but is not a true LTE phone as the 5 is. I can't remember what standard Verizon is using but I do know on ATT that with the 4S they will operate at a higher data rate with the newer software updates.

Bullshit, I've had my 1st gen iPhone for 5 years and the only thing wrong with it is the load speaker that stopped working 18 months ago. :flipoff:

That said I have just bought a 5 because after 5 years I decided I'd have an upgrade.

Must not use it much lol. :flipoff:

I'm passing off my 4s to the wife, and getting a new S3 next Monday. I wish I would of kept my Galaxy in the 1st place. I don't even like to eat apples :flipoff:

I have the 5, at first I wasn't find of how light it was, until I went on a run with it. I went from a 4 to the 5 and am enjoying every minute of it! I'm getting speeds up to 17mbps and 7-9mbps of upload speed. The new camera is awesome even in low light situations. I am an apple fan boy and even have the new retina MacBook. If your thinking about it, do it. My wife used the iPhone 5 for 10 minutes and now has one on back order.

I'm waiting for the kit form. That way I can claim to be more hardcore than you out-of-the-box rtr pansies. :flipoff:

Dammit. Pissed me off today I went to 2 AT&Ts and all they had was the 64gb for $400. I don't need that much space and I'm tired of app crashes and slower speed of my 3GS. 21 fawkin days back ordered.

Anyone else noticing horrible (compared to iOS 5) battery life with iOS 6?

Marcus

Yep. Not a horrible drop but noticeable none the less. Normally I'm at 40% at the end of the day. But since the update I'm around 15% or less.

If I wanted bad battery life I would have just bought an android and had more functionality........

I've not, but I'm on using a 4th gen Touch. And I'm very aware of battery life with certain apps open, cause some of them will kill the battery twice as quickly. Make sure you manually turn off apps you ain't using, that'll help.

that's funny because i get 2 day battery life on my rugby smart with a 1650mah battery. i use it quite a bit for email when i'm out or on the farm, and i use the internet when out in the shed. i'm not an app junkie, but it does get used a lot. even running pandora all day i'm still usually at 30% the next morning.

I've always been an android fan until the iphone4 came out. I had been really anti iPhone for that matter.
Battery life was always an issue on my Droids. I'm a relatively heavy user and could regularly drain my battery by 4:00pm every day. With my iPhone I was usually around 55% at 4:00pm.

Since switching to the iPhone I've been pleased with the reliability, battery life and integration between the phone and my other devices. The app market is great but I REALLLLLLLYYYY miss google maps and navigation on the android system. Not to mention free music downloads and the ability to add widgets and just overall customization of my phone.
My iPhone is plain. Looks just like every one else's and the maps just got worse since iOS6.

Soon as I can, I'm going back to android with either a Galaxy nexus or an S3.

I can deal with less battery performance. In the two years I've been away from android, things have gotten much nicer over there.

PS. My battery jus dropped 3% just typing this post.

I've had my 5 for a couple weeks, came from 3GS. Best phone I've ever had. Smoking fast response to any analog input or any verbal. Screens not as big as most androids but the definition is over and above. And the app support is exponentially better that any other operating system.
