2012-2013 Rock Hard 1.9 Scaler Series Info Page

Now are you sure your going to be able to swing that, Making it to the first meeting and all:ror:lol

Well let me put you in prospective really quick. I have 4 BOYS at home that all have different interest 15, 11, 10 and a 10month old rug rat that crawls circles around me. It really isn't that I can't make a gtg it's just that in this point in my life there are other things that NEED to be done before I go play with my little toy truck. I really try to schedule around our comps and events but life just keeps getting in the way, sorry guys.

Annyways the season has had a turn around anyway and because of my wifes new job and the lack of me and her not communicating on dates, Her new job is going to have most of her clients on saturdays and so were going to just do sundays like we've allways did it"thumbsup"

See life gets in your way sometimes too

"thumbsup"

Is it the lack of fresh air? :lmao: I'm just messin with you bro. But i'd love for you and Spence to come out more, it's always a good time when you come out, but I totally understand! "thumbsup" But we really all should try to get together for a club meeting or something on a regular basis. "thumbsup"

Just about a month to go fellas! I got the new season's body started last night. Here's a little teaser... It's gonna be green. :lmao:

Were getting closer to what is going to be one of the best seasons to date:mrgreen:

We have a special location for the final event and it should live up to it's name but no hints till later in the season as we need to make sure it's going to be alright but all I can say is it's on 40 acres near a spot we always crawl:roll:;-)

I require an opinion from the event organizers/judges and the collective. Planning on running a 1.9 wraith which is currently a W.I.P. that meets all of class2 requirements but one.. chassis rails.

Yay or nay? I do understand that overlooking one rule can be like overlooking the entire rulebook so don't feel bad about a nay, there is a plan B!

I originally thought it was ok but after reading the rules again I'm not to sure. As a matter of fact I was planning on running a Wraith chassis my self but wasn't able to get one in enough time o switch it all over. What is your thoughts J?

A tuber consists of a complete body structure where the front, cab, and rear sections are comprised entirely of structural tubework.
Tube bed, roll bar, internal cage, and shock mounts points not available in addition to tuber points.

Here is the link to specs: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/scale-comp-rules/367585-2012-sorcca-scale-rules.html

Yep thats what my interpretation was too, that a tuber of any material automagically makes it class3. And being that class2 is "trail" its not really in the spirit of the class. Just thought I'd run it by the community.

Meatwad I don't have a wraith so can you tell me do these have chassis rails? Do the shocks mount to the cage or chassis if there is one?

Because this rig has a full body on it I think it might fit in but i'll go back over everything to make sure"thumbsup"

Not chassis rails in the traditional sense, its all plastic with some flatted parts to mount the skid. Shocks connect to the cage. I'll post up some random pics of the cage minus body panels that can explain better than my words

JRock I have no problem going to an scx chassis, got a "wroncho" as my ttc/class3 rig that will make a good switcheroo. I don't wanna be "that guy" :lmao:

Not my pic but a decent one of the cage...

I don't really see a problem other then not having chassis rails so I suggest throwing up a question up in the scale rules section just too see what is said about running a wraith tube chassis in class 2.

I couldn't find any conversations on the subject so I would say give it a shot and see what they say"thumbsup" If not you have a backup plan lol.

Lol....only wish there was a class just for the wraith.
I take it not many in your club have them???

Look forward to running the series with you guys...."thumbsup"

maybe we could get others interested in the wraith as well...make up a wraith class....just a thought...
only have one entry right now, class 2 rig coz my tires are 4.5" tall. Never comped before, but definately looking forward to it.
