I need a good durable pocket knife.. I destroy knives at work( construction) and need a dependable pocket knife... was looking at the Gerber 06 F.A.S.T. . What do you guys carry? Does any of you have this knife?

Gerber 06 FAST - Tanto, Serrated

Fixed or folder? If fixed and super heavy duty get the kabar tactool. Folder I'd get a Byrd

The only problem with the tanto tip and serrated edge is they are difficult to sharpen.

I have this benchmade, I carry it everyday. The drop tip is very easy to sharpen and it holds a great edge. Plus it's made in the USA "thumbsup"

I bought mine at a local knife shop for around 75 if I remember right.

I carry a camillus titanium holds a real good edge and seems pretty tough..The only draw back is its a bigger folding knife...Seems heavy in ur pocket..

It needs to be a folding knife with a clip so i can have it at call and not buried in my pocket... I really like a fixed blade for a survival knife (baton use) but its not practical for my job application.

Does the Camillus Titanium have a pocket clip?

Ive heard nothing but good things about the Spyderco, but dont own one, I do have a Kershaw 1550 had its for a few years now, its been a good knife: http://www.kershaw-knives.net/Kershaw-Ken-Onion-Blackout-KS1550.htm
Also have a Leatherman, not sure the model, its also been good.

Since we are talking about knives, I got a Warthog V-sharp sharpener, now I have had many, to many kinfe sharpeners, never really liked any of them, I seen this thing at a boat show about 5 years ago and bought one, THE BEST thing to sharpen knives Ive ever seen or used.
Ive got the V-Sharp Classic: http://www.warthogsharp.com/videos.php

you must have big pockets. That knife is huge.

Lol yeah like i said it is a bigger knife but it seems to hold the edge really well and im not easy on them..

Yeah it has a pocket clip and it holds very well..My last one seemed to have bent out every week and wouldnt stay cliped...

Thats the size of knife im looking for.. I definetely need a descent sized knife.. More blade edge= 1 swipe done deals "thumbsup"

My CRKT M-16, have had it for a few years now, no complaints. Stays sharp, no serrations, big must for me. I use it for everything, stripping wires, removing sealant off the skin of helicopters, it's been great
