Jeremy's Sporty

Thanks Shane. Do you run the wide inners, but not channeled in the back? If so, I considered doing that, but didnt order any of them....so I added that ring.

Also what compound are you running? The Voodoos pictured above are all gold.

Right now (Story below), I am running OG 6" narrow comp cut (cut by me) inners up front and OG 5.5" narrow non-cut inners out back.
Soft 5.5 outers up front and Firm 5.5" outers out back. Golds. 4.4-4.6lbs rig

____

Eddie sent me some Version 1 "Comp Cut" inners a few weeks ago to test. They were too wide for my .7" wheels, so I "Comp Cut" my own OG narrow 6" inners (Setup above).

Eddie has a better design now (pics posted yesterday in a Voodoo thread) than what he originally sent me the first time. The new "Comp Cut" version 2 inners are made work with 0.7-1"+ wheels now. And the USPS is playing games with my new "Comp Cut" inners that Eddie mailed me several days ago. With some Voodoo magic. Crawler Innovations Style.

You pickin' up what I'm putting down? Yes a wide non channelled rear inner could possilby work.

I feel ya. :ror:

Yeah, I definitely like the wides in my gold tires. I think I would have liked the non-channeled in the rear, but I am gonna work with what I've got now. I do like the lower crown my current rear setup gives than the previous. So I think I'll keep running these and test them out...

Yep, I had to work with what I had as well since I didn't have wider wheels that worked with the V1 Comp Cuts. Like I said, the V2 Comp Cut Inners will be what Eddie will have on hand now.
I think a wider inner is the setup for the Golds. Lamo USPS is not letting me realize that just yet.

Yeah, these new inners seemed to fit perfectly on my DE Racing wheels. I can't imagine trying to use them on anything narrower though..

I believe what I have is the most recent version if these foams.

Yep. That's a good possibility. I will tear these down and try both and see how they feel.

I have been digging the DE wheels but have been a bit worried about how easy it is to get CA glue on and off. I know you only glue up a few points or so, but when I have taken glue off SC tires it is one huge pain in the arse with acetone and it sometimes really damages the foams.

So point is, whats your secret?

I wonder if you used the same idea of the hot glue removal only with CA and acetone. In other words us as little CA as possible to tune and test. I wonder if acetone on qtips would soften it up enough to remove without having to soak everything. Then when you really get it how you like it, hit it with a bit more CA.

Before I just tested foams using regular beadlocks, then when I found what worked best, I glued them on the tires.

Lately I've been having some heat issues with this truck and it has been louder than normal in forward only. I finally figured out why:

This bent motor plate was forcing the back of the pinion into the spur quite a bit more than the front of the pinion. For now, I am back to the stock motor plate....

If that's a BWD plate, all the ones I have owned have had to be hogged out with a Dremel for that spacer to sit flush.

I'm not talking about the spacer (that was just sitting crooked after I took the plate off), the plate is actually bent. You can see on the right how it curls up at the end. That is the part that was actually straight, the other side is bent backward, but that's how it sat on the table.

Kindof impressive you bent that. Time get a hammer and a couple bricks out.
