Battery Survey... NiMh or LiPo?

When I got back into the hobby a couple of years ago I went with NiMh mainly because I was intimidated with LiPo's. What a mistake! Wasted my time and too much money on more expensive and inferior batteries that are now collecting dust on the shelf. LiPo all the way. All I use now are cheap Gens Ace batteries and they have never let me down.

There is no logical reason to run Nickel batteries ever again. Seriously.

You are correct sir!

NiMh are okay for my Tx but never my motor again.

Both would be nice just in case but if huge price difference then just a/c

From my Galaxy S4

If huge price difference, you would probably want the cheaper DC power input.

I use one of these to charge my batteries when I don't know what power source is available. I got it for 25 bucks used.

It does ac or dc input. Charges up to 3s. I either plug it into a wall or use the alligator clips and use my car battery.

I ran Nimh for a year and was happy. Blew out a servo, needed a BEC and threw a 2S Lipo in there Now I am fired up! Oh, 3S is a blast too...

Moral of the story, liPo
