GT3B Hack Question and Answer Thread

Hey guys. anyone ever have issues with their dial on the gt3b. Mine will jump around all over the place while spinning it. It is almost impossible to select a model or dial in sub trims and end points now. Very frustrating issue.

Is there a replacement and or a fix for this. Or is this just a broken radio?

I have had this happen after working on the board and it seems to happen if you screw the top back on before replacing the dial wheel. I found that by being very careful to aline the board in the radio and make sure the dial is performing well before you tighten the top screws. It doesn't take very much to bind the wheel and make the switch act crazy.

I'm pretty sure it's not mechanical. I took the top off the other night, took the knob off and spin the post. Does the same thing. :(

Ok im trying this hack on the gtx3 (turnigy) and it will connect up, I resoldered the port 5xs already and it will not connect to the program. Im starting to think its not my soldering but more like the radio not being "flysky" is their something in the computer program that I need to change to work with this??

G.S.R.C.C.

how many RX's can be bound and saved to the radio at the same time?

I would like to use this radio on multiple models

Thanks
steve

I still can't get this to download correctly.... Its really getting under my skin now... I've removed the software and reinstalled it, tried with and without the patch for vista. I don't know WTF I'm missing.

I get communication with the tx, I can read and save the firmware from it into st. But I can't download any of the firmware from GitHub,or the other links I've been sent into st.... I can save them to my desktop or other folders but no where in the program. Then I can't transfer them into it, for whatever reason once their on my desktop I can't change the extension to the correct type.

I'm lost and irritated... Anyone in NE OHIO who has done his want to do another, shoot me a PM and we can talk.

If the battery is a 3s then why do you need to change the regulator? Maybe thats the problem. I think you can swap in a 3s directly without doing anything else

The regulators are swapped for efficiency not voltage, The mod ones are generally 50-60% more efficient so the bat lasts longer.

I don't understand why you have to post the question in so many places. You don't need to email me, post in this thread, and start a new thread.

On another note, if you actually reply to my emails then you may have better luck solving your issue.

But since you don't feel the need to give me any specifics like i've been asking for...i'd bet that you're using the wrong regulator. By doing so, you could have fried the radio so it'll never work correctly again. You may have gotten lucky and not ruined it. AND i know you're not using the regulator i sell, because when i asked you gave me specs that don't align with the regulator i sell

anyone know what page of this thread the specifics about setting up Dual ESC is on? i found it once through a search but now i can't replicate my search.

Or maybe someone can answer my question directly. I got it setup and working, but i need to fine tune my rates, the rear axle will kick in before the front when trying to creep.
what steps do i take to get to the menu i need?

Programming request....

When you post up a "programming template" (like Jaloos just did), please also list the TX firmware it's for.
1-It may make it easier to search for
2-Some peeps (like myself..... for now) are running different versions of firmware.

If they have V0.4 and try to program a V0.6 template, things won't look correct and then the questions start.

As to peeps asking questions, listing your firmware when asking for help would be nice.

Not trying to be a PITA.;-)8)

Thanks."thumbsup""thumbsup"

PS, lots of work travel keeps me from updating my TX firmware.... sigh....
