Value Hobby R/C Hobby Store (Addison, Illinois): Batteries - Power

These are the guys i get my batteries from, i also made the mistake of ordering a hd-1501 servo from them for the scx10, it made it 100 feet before stripping a gear. their cs tried to make it out like metal geared servos dont strip.. basically telling me i was wrong or stupid. then they asked for pictures, i told them sure if they didnt mind me taking it apart. next day i got an email with an rma #. still havent sent it in though.it sits on my bench as a reminder that you get what you pay for.

Go to Value hobby!

Screw hobby king on batterys, never again for me, they suck.

my mom (rip) used to tell me, you screw me once shame on you, screw me twice shame on me.

Is there a consumer court in the US?
File a case in the consumer court for misguiding. Let them answer to the court what problem they are facing.

I've ordered from them about 6 times now without issues. Ordered from the us, and china warehouses. Never had anything bad from them. Infact I've put in two china orders i this month.

purchase using a credit card...

That way... when you get deceived with back ordered stuff...

cancel/reverse the delayed purchase...
and purchase the item elsewhere.

Then you will have yer revenge

whining about it won't help you :flipoff:

Well they were the only freaking 2s pack small enough to fit snug like a 6pack NiMH which was originally what Tamiya planned on years ago...

I hacked up the chassis took her out for a spin around the block earlier after 4 and a half months on just the rebuild of ALL parts. Everything was rusted out lol. And apparently Tamiya plastic gear grease had all but worn away,.

My fault for not checking though...the was Tamiya DF-03Ra Subaru rally Pete Solberg running a Castle CM36 motor think 4700kv mild gearing and an OG sidwinder....might sell it now that it's all running again.

iv done some homework on lipo shipping, overseas air is banned by usps. id say most of hobbyking stuff was shipped by air, even stock for other warehouses.
the ban by usps has caused them headaches and shipping price increases as well, so im gonna guess they have worked a deal with ups for discounted shipping on there end.
part of that deal most likely states that ups will get ALL there shipments even domestic to the end user.

works great for HK and UPS, but we get to pay full price shipping and wait for our parts, even if we didnt order lipos.

i dont know this for fact, but we have preferred vendors at work that management make damn sure we use because of discount pricing, free delivery and what not.
some things from or preferred vendors are higher than local suppliers, but or most common used parts are cheaper

Well. I wanted to test the "whats the deal" for a 10 bucks ESC from them (brushed, only 1 available from them)? Guess what. I verified myself multiple times that i am in their USA warehouse and end up paying international shipping? NOT AGAIN man..... Of course log out and bye bye. Why do they always do stuff like that???

I had three orders going on the past month, one LiPo from EU warehouse with no problem att all, and the other 2 from china with different stuff also without any problem.
Have ordered from HK before without problem, the only thing is the shipping time, sometimes it's a long wait.

I've not had an issue with them including a return I had. I am almost at 10 orders now, the only thing I haven't bought from them is any type of lipo battery. I order stuff I'm not in a rush for and when it gets here I open it up like its Christmas!!!

Yeah I have a freind who ordered at 2s 5000mah lipo from them. It's been about a month no reply or package. He called the other day and was on hold for 15 minutes then they hung up on him.

Update... (purchsed a 10bucks brushed esc) 10/21/13
Great great great
Finally shipped 10/25/13 via swiss post. How nice...? Merry Christmas or Turkey Day to me. Done done done. Radiculos. I live in USA CA and once again chose USA warehouse or website.

I've been considering signing with them as a reseller and stocking stuff here in NC. Minimum order is large and shipping is high. In the end, i would barely break even selling the stuff at 25% higher than their prices.

I still need a good priced quality LiPo manufacturer to sell in my store.

I recently placed 2 orders from the us warehouse and got them in 3 days both times. All the way from Washington to pa. Mine both came usps and were lipos both times.
