New Axial "working on something fast"

People rag on Axial for re-releasing the SCX10 a million times. How could Axial NOT do that? It's not like any major players (hint, hint, Traxxas) are seriously trying to take a piece of their pie. Go on any trail run - it's a MIRACLE if less than 90% of the rigs are Axial, or Axial-based, be it Wraith, AX10, or SCX10. And why not? They're damn good trucks. Not perfect, but no RC is - they all have flaws of some sort, just like 1:1 vehicles.

The real people to blame are the design/marketing/beancounters at other major RC manufacturers that have NOT taken the fight to Axial. Seriously, everyone in RC knows that scale rigs have been WHITE hot for years and years. Axial is making a killing off their 3 trail/scale platforms. What motivation do they have to do something new?

Just read the comments here:
So many people want/expect different things. Axial knows they're not going to please everyone unless they release 237 different new models. "Today's release is the 1.9 IFS KOH truck with 48P gears, brushless system, EXO front end with 2.5 mm shorter control arms" etc., etc.

Hey, I'd be THRILLED with a KOH/Ultra4 rig from Axial, but I'm just saying that, to an extent, you can't blame them for the "If it ain't broke and we're making truckloads of money don't fix it" attitude. Seriously, who else in the RC industry is really pushing them to step up their game?

This is actually what I'm guessing too (my jeepspeed comment was meant to be a joke). But I'd rather see more parts (transmission, motor) come from the RTR EXO, not the Wraith. 48P wouldn't be my first choice for a U4 transmission, and honestly their RTR brushed motors are only good for a few packs before tossing. I'd also rather not see the EXO front end just dropped in as an after-thought. Sure they have the parts, but the EXO arms are pretty weak. I broke my EXO right front on my bare foot...still got the mark "thumbsup"

I'm hoping for a 2.2 with a well thought out IFS meant for hard hits, not the track.

You must have got a bad arm, I've beat the shit out of my EXO and it just keeps asking for more. RTX racing at Axialfest 2 years in a row too and it smashed off rocks, a trailer and many other things at full tilt many times and I never broke anything!

I have strong feet :ror:

Actually it was more of a lower hinge pin issue. I caught the tire on my foot, and the lower hinge pin pulled through the plastic pivot point of the lower arm. Both the lower arm and pin had to be replaced, but other than that everything else was fine.

My guess is....They're going to throw their hat in the SCT ring. OR they're going to rerelease the exo with new tires and body panels.:lmao:

Yeah but the would mean we would have to do some work....lol
They just want to change the tires and body panels and re release it just like they did the wraith.Because it would have been to hard for them to just release the pos jeep body, wheels and tires for us to put them on ourselves.

Good point, all I can say now is :flipoff:....

Here is the marketing problem with that. If I build something that doesn't need or offer upgrades, how the heck do I get more money from you?!?!

The idea is get a lot of money form you the first, knowing some parts aren't perfect, then offer the fix in a better solution to get back in your pockets.

Car dealerships don't make money on selling cars, they make money when you come back for service and warranty work.

Team Associated makes more money in one week then Axial makes all year"thumbsup"

Axial.....Please give us a new IFS "thumbsup"

A SCT with solid rear axle IFS front with a tube style chassis with body panels and an interior would be pretty cool I think.
