High Steer Knuckle

I am curious if there is a true high steer knuckle available for the SCX10? They have two arms on one side instead of one arm like the current available aluminum knuckles out there from Vanquish, etc. Reason I am asking is because the amount of leverage on the single bolt and arm with the metal link kits is large and the arm gets tweek'd under heavy pressure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. With this you mount the drag link to the top steering arm and the tie rod goes across the lower one to the other side.

Here is what I am talking about:

And, yes I know I can mount the tie rod under the knuckles to eliminate the leverage on the bolt/knuckle arm...but I am curious for scale purposes if they make a knuckle like the one pictured above. Thanks

Picture doesn't work. You talking about double sheer? True high steer? What?

Assuming I know what you are talking about...like the vanquish scale wraith knuckle? NArrow xr10 mod and use them.

Huh, the pic worked when I was on my computer. Well basically on one knuckle it will have two arms instead of one....kinda like the Vanquish Wraith one ^. I was looking for a more scale version of a true high steer knuckle that would fit the SCX10. Does that wraith one fit?

If you did the narrow XR Mod, you could fit the the VP Wraith, VP Scale Wraith or even Axial XR knuckles... which kinda look like that.

It doesn't get more scale than the Vanquish knuckle. Complete replica of a Spidertrax 1:1 knuckle.

To make the Wraith stuff work on a SCX10 axle, RCBros Burly tubes or BeefTubes (Both vendors here on RCC) would need to be purchased along with Wraith or XR10 Universals.

Im not sure what you mean by true high steer. High steer, when it was first used in 4x4 applications just meant that the tie rid and drag link sat at or near the same height as the upper ball joint. Double shear has absolutely to do with high steer. As far as breaking a single shear arm, I've never heard of an aluminum knuckle breaking at the arm. As Harley mentioned maybe a cheap one will.

I've seen cheap knuckles break through the hole on steering arms, but maybe only a couple times in all the years I've been on here.

I'm using spacers to raise the drag link like high steer and a longer screw to get the nut on, on the steering link that attaches to the servo. running a 400+ oz servo, STRC knuckles and C-hubs and it'll move rocks out of the way or move the rest of the rig and I have no signs of bending or stress on alum. knuckles.

The coinage of the term "high steer" was really intended to be double sheer. Naturally I guess you almost get a high steer with these knuckles anyways. But, I thank for all the pics and stuff...I will eventually be going with a double sheer setup.
