eBay question.

if you had it's condition in the auction wording stating so, how the hell can they do that  ....I think there was more to the story, I have never had any troubles with flea bay....

"How can they do that"... Cause Ebay makes the RULES....

They will side with the buyer every time..........

Cell phones are tricky, unless you know for a fact it has a good esn# or similar for that particular carrier you shouldnt be selling it, unless its for parts only. By selling a phone that cant get activated you "maybe unknowingly" screwed the buyer.

If i bought a used phone on ebay and it had a bad esn that i couldnt get it activated i would return it too. The buyer did nothing wrong.

As long as you allow the return and follow ebays directions, you will get the phone back, and the buyer will get refunded.

Sucks, but use it as a learning experience.

Agreed.

I've always had issueswith sprint phones and should have trusted my gut. I'll definitely list any I get as parts.

yeah tough call, I sold an old ATT phone without the sim card....stating he needed one from his contract holder at the time....never heard nothing so all is good with an ATT phone....

I've never had a problem with Verizon phones, pull the sim reset phone to factory, the buy inserts their sim, turns on phone and it works, they pay me and we're all happy. Only sold phones on CL.

I have sold about 20 phones on ebay. ALWAYS list them as "broken for parts", then describe them as OK. No hassles on your end for anything. The ESN part can be tricky. I always called sprint with it and made sure it was clean. Otherwise, it might not be. Lots of people say they lost them, then have insurance buy them a new one and sell the used one. If it was listed as lost, its no good. If the bill was not paid, its no good. You will lose with ebay and paypal, if you listed the ESN as good, and it is not. A call to sprint with the esn will get you the info you need.

If the phone needs to be released, the ESN is not good.

Yes, great info!!! "thumbsup"8)

Yes, hopefully seller gets the same phone back in same condition it was sent out in. Learn from mistakes and move onward and forward. "thumbsup" Ebay is not nearly as good as it used to be...usually Amazon, Cl or RCC is way better. "thumbsup"

Ebay pays way more than local Craigslist. A $200 phone goes for $300 to $400.

Set up a amazon account and it's not what I expected but I'm gonna move everything over.

Depends on the phone, how long you want to wait to sell, and minus shipping, ebay share of the pie etc.

Let us know how this goes and interested in how you like your Amazon account.

Got the phone back today. Listed it as parts and sold for the same amount in roughly 4 hours.

Damn ebay. It knows I'm trying to quit using it.
