Hello everybody,<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I hope I’m starting this thread in the right place.

Some weeks ago, or actually more than a month ago, I saw at the international page of RC4WD, what apparently was the tease of a new product, a scale camping trailer BIVOUAC. The exact name was: RC4WD Bivouac 1/10 M.O.A.B Camping Trailer w/Tent

The product advertisement was just a few days online and only seen at the international site. In the USA site there was nothing about it. In the ad was the usual stuff of any product by RC4WD, you know, pictures from many angles and information about the trailer. Definitely one of those things you see and make you think: “oh my! I don’t need that but I want it!” Something worth using to exercise self-control… ha!

Anyway, the advertisement had also a special remark which was not for sale and never changed to out of stock of something in the time it was online. I checked the site from time to time to find some news… hoping to see it in stock. OK, I admit it. I had fallen into temptation by then. Shame on me!

And then, the product ad simply disappeared overnight. Everything just vanished. There is a tiny picture that you can still find of the trailer if you google it.

For those who didn’t see the ad, you missed something very tempting and… expensive as usual. It was fully metal (a piggy of approximately 4.4 lb) with lots of accessories. The price was around 250 USD. I guess the price is ok since the DINKY RC trailer fully equipped costs around the same, and doesn’t include so many accessories as this scale camping trailer.

I suppose not many people saw the advertisement since I haven’t found anything on the Net regarding that. Not a single comment in a forum. Or maybe I’m missing it somehow. So, does anybody know something about that trailer? Is it actually going to be released?

I was planning on sending RC4WD an email to ask, but if it is some kind of secret, they might as well ignore it. I’m just hoping that this entry won’t be deleted either.

I’m looking forward to your comments.

Ta’!

I saw that come through on a RC4WD alert and was excited because it resembled my 1:1 and my Tepui tent. Super pissed as spit most of my coffee out on my good shirt when i saw the price. Total insanity.

Your at fault for my ownership of my Lights Out Trailer. Your pictures behind the Taco sold me.

When we are done with the builds we should do a Camp/Crawl trip.

sounds good "thumbsup"

but something not to difficult...
'cuz I don't want to have to winch your heavy chevy :flipoff:

Is it 4X ?

I have the perfect place just out my back yard...

San Jacinto mountain range/Hemet Jeep club trail...
will test the abilities of both yer 1:1 outfit as well as the 1:6 rigs.
Tho' I'd consider the trail as fairly mild.

There's crude campsites up in these hills...
but they aren't the KOA type !? Lol

I'd likely drag my son along... he's an adult @ 23...
but has been wanting to go camping for quite some time.
and I haven't been out in the last coupla' years.

Could always roll out to Truck Haven or somewhere in the desert.
But not in the summer time... too damn hot for me.
