That was my plan also the servo mount flows with the chassis more. Not that it matters to most.

I want that servo horn too. Looks like they aren't releasing it as a parts tree though.

Our first gear is lower than than the Axial version.

What is the benefit in running a micro servo for shifting rather than a standard one? I've been looking and most micro servos don't meet the minimum torque requirement of 80 oz in specified by Axial.

Yeah I can't find any micros that come close to 80 oz in. I found the Hitec HS-7245MH mini servo and it's only 88 oz in on 7.4v.

Interesting. I wanted to do it for a smaller servo and lighter but idk now even though it would be even lighter now.

I think Just a cheap normal servo should work fine it's only shifting about 1/2" throw,if that.Just make sure to use a servo saver and make sure the end points are set right,and it's not like the servo working hard all the time like the steering servo..."thumbsup"

I think the micro must be a typo on Tower. If you look at the instructions PDF HERE it says in step 12 to use the part for mini servo
