I have been bitten by the drift scene.
So I decided to build my own scale drift truck.
started with a RC4WD Mojave body, and Yota rear axle.
and went fron there...

used my 3d printer to make a lot of the custom parts, mounts, shock towers

I tried using the TF2 chassis , but the front was not going to work out, made a custom chassis in the end and printed a custom trans for the front.

plenty of lock here for RWD drifting

printed some engine components to cover the motor, and cut the hood off the body.

video of the working engine belt.

more to come....

Looks very nice, I like the 3d printed parts. Do you think they will be very durable and what program did you use?

3D parts have all held up great, with no issues after hours of driving,

what program are you talking about?
drawing,printing?

Thanks Looneybin.

this is a blast to drive, been to a couple local drift events and it can hang with all the high dollar chassis out there.
always draws a crowd too.

here is the video of the engine, I don't think the above link works.

Very cool. What material and process did you use to make the c-channel frame rails?

Subscribed.

...

its just 1/2" square tubing cut in half, old school stuff.
then made the front lower piece on the CNC from .060 G10 to mount the steering and trans.

I just recently switched the rear suspension to a full leaf instead of the 4 link and coil overs, truck drives much better with this on the rear.

This is so awesome. I like the idea of the rwd drifting. I did not do so well with the counter steer setup but this wip makes me wanna try to build a rwd setup.
