Axial rr10

Centered rear axle is going to be tough, even with an MIP it will contact the gear cover just before full bump. With the 64t spur there's basically no room to spare. Dropping down to a 60 or 56 and trimming the rear cover should help.

Also just realized you can't check the inner axle screws, the side frame rails are filled in. Time to drill some holes "thumbsup"

I was worried about that so I ordered an extra ssd front axle just in case I couldn't make it work.

Thanxs for the info....worst case scenario, Currie Axles! lol

I'm curious (not trying to start anything). Why do people want centerered axles?

Well you try to keep your driveline as straight as possible so on the yeti it was perfect on this rig the off set would be better but I had this one. And in some applications it's a bit more scale. Not so much on ultra 4 rigs but on a lot or 1.1 stuff.

My full bump is when the axle hit the frame. If you have your shocks set up differently you will have more room.

Wish I hadn't drained the bank on all the upgrades because I really want a motor and esc now that I see how slow my bomber is.

Can someone recommend gearing for the Holmes hobbies puller pro 3300 on the bomber? Good mix of speed and crawl?

3300 trail master pro at 12/64 is a little slow. I'm going to bump the pinion to 13 and 14 and see how the crawling is. I want it just a bit faster, but I'm not willing to sacrifice the low end.

Your motor will be better able to support higher gearing, 4 pole vs 2.

IIRC my calculations put an 11t pinion in the bomber equal to my wraith final gearing, creeper slow and does 17MPH flat out. Holmes ESC and Puller Pro 3500kv.

Starting to get a little bit excited. Mine is showing as reached Customs in New Zealand...... Now to await the bill for taxes......

I should be running in the summer sun next weekend."thumbsup"

Thanks. And if I changed to hd gears it looks like a 14-15 pinion. Kind of in the middle of the chart in the book.
